I got COVID. It was AWFUL.
BRUTAL for 4 weeks.
And then I got better.
That’s how being sick works most of the time.
After finally getting it, and missing Christmas (we just exchanged gifts yesterday :) ) I do believe that safety in nursing homes and around older folks is quite important.
Still don’t believe in lockdowns or forced vaccines.
Being a fat #### is what likely made it so much worse for me.
Little bugger virus hides safely in the fat and causes issues.
But like I said, I got better and life went on.

In 2018, the nursing home my mother was in had over 30 die from the flu. They shut it down and it finally subsided.
There is no reason to stop life and force shots into everyone for this reason.
People get really sick at times and that is a fact of life.

Mrs. JimRed and I got it in November 2020, but the misery was less than brutal and was mostly gone in a week. God has been better to us than we deserve.

Ditto. I also got it over the holidays and it took me four weeks to get over most of my COVID symptoms. I am still trying to get over some chronic health issues that flared up for the first time in years during my bout with COVID.
Like nearly everyone else who has had a hard time with COVID, I am well over 60, fat, and have other morbidities. One of my sons, his wife, and their children all contracted COVID last month. They were all over it in a few days.
