Think about my shock when on Jan. 6, 2017, I came upon that I had obtained one electoral vote to be vice chairman of the USA — an workplace for which I used to be not a candidate — from a “faithless elector” from the state of Washington.
4 years later, on Jan. 6, 2021, when a violent mob overran the Capitol, I noticed that my unearned vote within the Electoral School was not amusing. This seemingly innocuous vote was a sign that our system of counting and certifying votes for president and vice chairman had deep and severe structural issues.
These unlucky flaws are codified within the Electoral Depend Act, which guides the implementation of a part of the presidential election course of included within the Structure. This 1887 legislation, vaguely written within the inaccessible language of a unique period, was supposed to restrain Congress, however in observe it has had the unintended impact of making ambiguities that would doubtlessly be used to increase the function of Congress and the vice chairman in methods which might be opposite to the Structure.
Regardless of its defects, the legislation was not a difficulty for greater than a century due to the restraint of the individuals who exercised the intense, however restricted, constitutional duty of counting the votes. Vice presidents and Congresses sustained the desire of the folks — even when they didn’t just like the outcome.
For instance, we noticed this in 1961 and once more in 2001, when Vice Presidents Richard Nixon and Al Gore presided in a good and dignified method over the counting of the electoral votes regardless of having misplaced shut elections for president. Vice President Gore even refused to listen to Democratic objectors who had been making an attempt to make him president.

The text reads like something written in a foreign language and then thrown through google translate. The deep state is getting some foreign assistance (or perhaps foreign direction would be more accurate)
Lol. Not “blaming” you. I started reading it in her tedious voice in my head. It sounded just like her idiotic speech pattern.
What language was this originally written in?
Why not we just ask the DNC who would be our best choice and put them in office. Save money on voting and they don’t have to cheat any more.
I don’t know why there’s so much opposition to changing the Electoral Vote Act in the first place. There are plenty of conservative legal minds who think some of its key provisions are unconstitutional.
Actual translation:
“Imagine my surprise when on Jan. 6, 2017, I found out that I had received one electoral vote to be vice president of the United States — an office for which I was not a candidate — from a “faithless elector” from the state of Washington.”
Shut up you ignorant cow.
The Republicans want the economic crash to come on Joe Biden’s party.
Get rid of Collins from our Congress. Sickening.
The Founders were wise.
Changing the inauguration from March to January was arguably a mistake inasmuch as it does not allow sufficient time to sort out a mess. They managed, barely, in 1876. As it stands, it seems that people can only stand around and pretend there is no evidence of a mess that is capable of being investigated.
She is an incompetent gutless statist whether she wrote it or not.
The old adage about keeping your mouth shut and having people think you a fool...
Yep. RCV is a Leftist scam, which she no doubt bought into and endorsed.
Vice Chairman? Sounds commie to me...
