Tucker Carlson: How long before protests like the 'Freedom Convoy' come to America?

Workers of the world unite. You have nothing to lose but your chains. That's from Karl Marx, of course. He wrote that famous phrase in 1848. The weird thing is, it's pretty likely that Marx himself never met an actual worker.

Wait a second. He didn't spend a decade in a cotton mill, witnessing the oppression firsthand. No. Karl Marx never spent a moment in a factory. He was a rich kid who became a journalist. Of course he was. But for more than 150 years, Karl Marx inspired generations of other rich kids who also became journalists to repeat his line or variations of it.

Over time, workers became working men or working class and then with feminism, working people or working families, but the idea itself never changed. Ordinary people, wage earners, are getting shafted, so they've got to unite. They've got to come together for protection and for dignity. This was the idea, of course, behind the organized labor movement, and every Democratic president from Andrew Jackson until now has made the very same point over and over again. "The noble people of Scranton..." You hear it even today. So, Democrats have repeated that line often enough. You would think they really mean it.

Do they really mean it? Let's take the test. Here's how you know. Watch what happens when actual workers, working people from working families who constitute the working class, actually come together as a group to protest how things are going.

What happens then? Does the intellectual class greet these workers as heroes? Throw a parade? Listen intently to their stories? Does NPR do a sympathetic feature on them? Or, do self-described progressives recoil in revulsion and horror at the grubbiness of the people who as we used to say,

Not soon enough.

I’ve been protesting since May 2020. Had the cops called on me by one business for not wearing a muzzle.

Canada’s convoy has succeeded because they have no equivalent of the FBI to conjure up violence they can use to condemn it.

You watch what happens here when our’s finally gets rolling.

There has been just enough pressure relief that I’d be surprised if it manifests here the way it has in Canada. But, I’ve been wrong before.

Rebellions are infectious. See the revolutions in Europe in 1848.

My son is a trucker for gasoline and diesel. If all truckers stopped for 1 week this country would be crippled.

The Democrats already got the message. Yesterday in eerie unionism the liberal governors suddenly announced that “masks” would not be state mandated in schools. These lowlife politicians know these repressive measures are costing them votes.

I’m leaning the same way.

However, once it starts and if crowds come out along the way, momentum will grow - I pray.

I hope it is well organized.

The Secret Police, er, FBI would find all sorts of charges to slap on the truckers. They will have to be very brave.
Also look out for provocateurs. They will try to get the truckers to commit crimes, or commit them themselves and blame the truckers.

The day that asterisk was inaugurated, I lowered my flag poles and bent the national colors on upside down. A couple of weeks later, a policeman pulled in to inquire if we were alright as some “Karen” had called to complain about our flags.

I politely told him that we were fine, but the country was in distress. He smiled, thanked me and left. Nothing, since, but I am sure that “Karen” is having ulcer problems.

Face it: these truckers hate the globalist class. This is to thwart them since confidence in the elections has waned.

In the early days of the Scamdemic, I saw the occasional "sir, you have you wear a mask" episode in a couple of stores. But I never saw anything more than that. These days here in Houston and its suburbs, masks are very much an optional thing.

Working class people have turned on the progressive Left, Democrats. Amazing how things change. The Progressive Dems are now the party of the woke corporations, Blacks who still haven’t figured it out, and liberal White elitists.

Waste of time to go to DC. Better to manage each state separately.

I think the reason we’ve not seen the same type of protests in the USA, is how our governments are structured.

Thankfully we’ve had red states led by Florida that went a different direction than many other states, Florida has been open for the most part since early May of 2020, everything has been open, kids have been in school, largely mask mandates have not been implemented, no vaccine mandates have been issued, no vaccine passports are required, etc.

Compare that to NY, their Governor is gone largely because of his Covid policies not the sexual assault allegations IMO.

California although not successful had a recall of the Governor largely over his Covid policies.

If the USA had the same type of tyrannical policies in all 50 states you would see protests like what’s happening in Canada.
