Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley said on Monday that she thinks former Vice President Mike Pence "did what he thought was right" on Jan. 6 when he certified the results of the 2020 election.
"Mike Pence is a good man. He's an honest man. I think he did what he thought was right on that day," Haley told Fox News's Bret Baier on Monday.
"I will always say I’m not a fan of Republicans going after Republicans because the only ones that win when that happens are the Democrats and the media, and we have to keep our eyes on 2022," she added.
Haley's remarks came after Pence said last week that the idea of overturning the election results was "un-American."
"President Trump is wrong. I had no right to overturn the election," Pence said at a Federalist Society event in Florida. "The presidency belongs to the American people and the American people alone. Frankly, there is almost no idea more un-American than the notion that any one person could choose the American president."

NH is a YUGE FRAUD!
Yeah, he terminated his political career.
Is it that he has no backbone or is it because he leans more to the left than he admits?
“ For some unexplained reason he keeps endorsing them.”
______________
Yeah, that’s very disappointing.

true
No, he didn’t, he took the easy, cowards way out by not rising to the occasion. I heard he had a legal opinion beforehand from Joe Schmitz that told him what he could do, which was to send the electoral tally back to the states for a recount.

Well, I just feel so much better now...
South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley said Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump should use a more civil tone while campaigning, warning that divisive rhetoric could ultimately lead to violence on par with the 2015 Charleston church massacre.
“I know what that rhetoric can do,” the Republican governor told The Associated Press... [2016]

I’m sure he did what he thought was right, the problem is that he was wrong.
His obligation as was the same as VP Cheney’s obligation: to verify the process. Cheney should have demanded Obama’s bona fides as a Natural Born Citizen, and Pence’s obligation was to verify that the elector(s) represented the actual votes without fraud.
I had my doubts about him due to his caving on marriage being between 1 man and 1 woman

I have no love for Mike Pence but this is the first I heard of that. I just looked and found no link. Do you have a link to substantiate that claim?
Hitler did what he thought was right too.
There were legal challenges pending before many state legislatures. As a result the electoral college had no business convening. And as a result of that, Pence had no business certifying the electoral college votes.
But she is right. Pence did what he thought was right. He thought it would be OK to stab President Trump in the back and betray the country and participate in a complete overthrow of the United States of America. And that’s exactly what he did.
March 31, 2015: Mike Pence caves, seeks clarification to religious-objections law
INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana Gov. Mike Pence said Tuesday that he wants legislation on his desk by the end of the week to clarify that the state’s new religious-freedom law does not allow discrimination against gays and lesbians.
Pence defended the measure as a vehicle to protect religious liberty but said he has been meeting with lawmakers “around the clock” to address concerns that it would allow businesses to deny services to gay customers.
The governor said he does not believe “for a minute” that lawmakers intended “to create a license to discriminate.”
“It certainly wasn’t my intent,” said Pence, who signed the law last week.
But, he said, he “can appreciate that that’s become the perception, not just here in Indiana but all across the country. We need to confront that.”
Then he canceled it. He's always struck me as a weak sister.
“Pence did the only thing he could do - what he “thought” about it is irrelevant. He has no power or discretion over the process. He can only preside and make rulings on any motions according to parliamentary rules - all of which are subject to appeal and vote. That’s it.
Strangely rather than just saying that he’s decided to get into a “tit for tat” war of words with Trump and exchange insults. Indicates he must actually have ambitions to run for President which is ridiculous.”
Correct.
If Pence had all this power to “send back” or “overturn” electoral votes from different states.
My question is: Why hadn’t it happened already?
We had 58 Presidential Elections before 2020, dating back to George Washington in 1789. Why didn’t some astute politico not observe this before 2020?
Pence should not of shown up that day, that was his mistake, a mistake he will pay dearly for.
Trump needs to talk about the stolen election of 2020, so democrat cheating is stopped, and his plans for 2024, not keep rehashing “Hail Mary” stupidity about Pence not “doing something.”
Pence “cut his own throat” by showing up on Jan 6th, nothing else needs to be said.

...AND the people responded
“There were legal challenges pending before many state legislatures.”
Those state legislators were the biggest cowards during the election.
Where were the alternative slate of electors? They didn’t exist, they went to court, lost, then did nothing but blow hot air.
They still wouldn’t have an alternative slate of electors 13 months later. They let democrat governors and judges control the 2020 elections, good job losers.
Always keep in mind. Tricky Nikki was one of the first ones on the Romney bandwagon during the 2012 election cycle. She is not to be trusted.
Regardless of whether Pence could have rejected the results (I’m not all that sure either way), he TOTALLY REJECTED all of the affidavits and other supported claims of fraud, so defending him is about as smart as flying off to Cancun while people are freezing to death in your state...and then claiming that you’re presidential material.
Nikki Haley said what she was paid to say. What a Uniparty hack.
