Chinese Olympics fans erupted on social media, furious that California-born skater Zhu Yi defected to China for the games but finished in a disastrous dead last place during her debut for Team China.
Yi, who gave up her U.S. citizenship to become a Chinese citizen so she could compete for the communist government’s genocide Olympics, finished with the lowest score for the entire event in Beijing on Saturday, the Daily Mail reported.
The 19-year-old scored a lowly 47.04 after she fell to the ice on her first combination triple flip-triple toe-loop jump and then crashed into the wall. Yi also muffed her triple loop minutes later

Yes - they compete under the name “Chinese Taipei” so as not to anger the “world’s manufacturer” - but they are a separate team.
At any rate, the U.S. government never really had any control over dual citizenship for people who qualified as legal citizens of two different countries simply as a result of their circumstances. If you have one American parent and one Canadian parent, you’re considered a citizen of both countries without doing anything at all.
There's a set procedure that one can follow to formally renounce his/her US citizenship.Having been born in New York City Boris Johnson was a US citizen from birth. But to become Prime Minister of the UK he had to renounce it...which he did.
My guess is that Red China doesn't allow their citizens to hold other citizenships so she renounced her US citizenship to get Red Chinese citizenship.
The same type of thing happened to the woman I'm dating.She got US citizenship and,as a result,automatically lost her South Korean citizenship under ROK law.

When I was swearing in for citizenship, I still recall what the judge presiding the ceremony. Paraphrasing, what he said was that immigrant Americans are as good if not better than born Americans. I can reflect on my own contributions to the American economy, and lawfulness, and MAGA agenda. I would much rather a person similar to me run for president than Biden or Beto or Kamala Harris. Sadly I expect Kamala to be the first female & black president.
