The Target department store in downtown Seattle is being absolutely ravaged by shoplifters, with one staff member telling me theft happens “about every 10 minutes.” He wasn’t kidding.
On a recent trip to the store on 2nd Avenue and Pike Street, I saw staff confront two separate shoplifters within 12 minutes of one another. It’s so bad that it’s not just the Biden administration’s supply chain crisis creating the empty shelves. And it’s so dangerous that customers can now only buy some products online as they’ll likely get mugged on the way out of the store.
Homeless men and women flood the Target and steal what they can. In Seattle, they won’t get arrested, booked, or charged for most theft.
“For the safety of our guests the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles are only available for purchase on Target.com and Target App via Order Pickup and Drive Up,” the sign reads.

YOU'RE WRONG.
It's not the people - NOT THE VOTERS - giving the pass to China's pimps and whores running Washington DC - or Seattle's democrats spreading their 'violence incentives' around the country. It's the press that gives the free pass. The press didn't give a damn about crime until it started hitting THEIR UP SCALE STORES...they don't care about Target or Walgreens - they jumped in when the New York Times noticed Louis Vuitton was hit.
"Clean up at the cigarette counter. Bring a wet mop."
Maybe people will complain when THEY have to subsidize the freeloading scum by paying higher prices. How can Target stay in business with such a loser business model? I rarely visit the Target here, as it doesn’t give off a good vibe.

Eventually stores will leave.
That’s what happened in the black community when democrats put their “compassion” with the criminals and not with the black citizens.
Maybe we should all put bars on our windows too - and live like we’re in prison while thugs run free within our cities... why not turn every community into a cope of some inner city hellhole?
Or maybe we can vote out the damn democrats for good and stop the stupid.

Or maybe we can vote out the damn democrats for good and stop the stupid. Really, vote them out of office. And if not, those people need to stay where they are and NOT move to red states.
“Seattle voted for this. They can live with it.
Its their problem.”
And Target supported those policies - remember they were one of the first corporation to gleefully cave to the LGBTQRSTUV delusions.
So, I’m having a bit of a problem working up a lot of sympathy for them.
“The IP’s will have to roam the ‘burbs for food and forage. Look out ‘burbs...”
Yep. It’s already started.
Who would have though that incentivizing criminal behavior would generate more of it? We should give BLM lots of tax dollars to study this phenomenon.
“The criminals at the top seem be simpatico with the criminals at the bottom.
The people in between pay the price and are too apathetic to do anything about it.”
It always amazes me how much crap your normal person is willing to tolerate before they start reacting.
Of the three options one has available in such situations, ie, fight, flight or surrender, those that can flee, those that can’t and for whatever reason refuse to fight, they surrender. Few will actually fight and by that time it’s against great odds.
“All they’d have to do is shoot a couple of them and the thefts would miraculously stop.”
Yes, in a sane world that would have salutary effects.
In the asylum we’re living in, all that would do is create two more Saints to join Saint George Floyd in Thug Heaven.
“Poor Target. Run by progressives...”
EXACTLY. They were “poor” in every other way, before, and voted for the conditions that have enables their pain.
I’ve nothing for them but a little song:

Well if you told me you were drowning,
I would not lend a hand,
I’ve seen your face before, my friend,
But I don’t know if you know who I am,
Well, I was there and I saw what you did,
I saw it with my own two eyes
So you can wipe off that grin, I know where you’ve been,
It’s all been a pack of lies
Is that on the new SAT test?
Well, apparently Target is happy with this arrangement. They are obviously doing their part in reparations and I can only assume the shareholders are pleased as well. If they want to make money in a store, they should build one in an area that does not reward criminal activity. I have no sympathy for Target. None at all.
During the American Revolution I think its been estimated that only about one third of the population was on the side of independence. So yes, then as now few actually care enough to do anything about repression or intolerable conditions.
Of course, after the Revolution there was no shortage of people claiming to be “patriots”.
In my small rural county, criminals are sentenced to jail sentences unless it is a first-time offense. After one arrest, if the perp doesn’t learn his/her lesson when issued a fine and given probation, then their next arrest results in SOME type of jail time, even if it is just one weekend in jail.
We have had two (maybe three) armed robberies of stores here in my lifetime. In the first instance, the guy was sentenced to life in prison because he killed the store clerk. In the second, both perps were shot dead by the store owner. I believe I recall a third instance in which the thug was so drunk/drugged he could barely stand and I believe he was sentenced to ten years (the last one may have been at the 7-11 store in the county next door instead of the one on this side of the county line).
Criminals know that it is best to go to the liberal county twenty miles away if they want to commit a crime. Even with a long record of theft, assault, etc, they usually only get more probation and any fines are usually waived.
The chance of a long prison sentence is usually quite the deterrent.
The Kent State ‘medicine’ for this ‘sickness’.
When the groceries shut the doors the thieves will complain about a food desert!
It’ll continue to get worse until(unless) America repents.
