Former US congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard issued a blunt warning via Twitter on Thursday about rising America-Russia tensions, arguing a conflict between “two nuclear-armed powers” can only end in “the destruction of the world and life as we know it.”
“Warmongers” currently in office, the Democrat argued, are escalating tensions with Russia. President Joe Biden and other administration officials have issued multiple threats to Russia should they move troops into Ukraine, something some US officials claim is likely because of recent military movements. Moscow has denied this, saying these troop maneuvers are an internal matter and any allegations of a planned offensive are groundless.
Gabbard, one of the more vocal Democratic Party critics of the current administration, included a Fox News interview clip in her tweet. In it, she specifically pointed to Secretary of State Antony Blinken and National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan as supporters of “regime change wars.” She added that they are the people “influencing the decisions that are being made by this White House.”

Yep...Russia needs to back off and leave Ukraine alone.
If we go to war with Russia, the big winner will be China. But of course the “Big Guy” probably already knew that. They bought him fair and square.
My support for the US Armed Forces never wavers

How about when they are turned on US?
Thanks for posting this. Feeling better?
I agree. But every perceived slight against the US will bring out a bunch of arm chair generals on FR.
If we put our folks in Harm’s way, they will get stomped. Then watch to fools emerge around here.
Well, our response to Covid already ended life as we know it.

Our national decline started and was well underway long before COVID arrived. COVID merely accelerated the pace of decline and opened up new avenues for totalitarianism IMO. We are light years away from the country we once were.
The Ukraine is a corrupt regime. Much more so than the Russian regime.
The problem I have with saying that Russia is the aggressor is that since the Obastard days, the GD new national socialist democrat party of America has been beating the war drums towards Russia.
We aint got any reason to be involved there. No strategic reason..nothing.
The corruption is within this countries administration-they want to keep the cash cow going with the Ukraine government.
Now the south China sea and the Pacific rim? That is a whole other matter.
You don’t support military aid to contain Russia’s expansion? Were you aware Trump gave arms to the Ukraine?

From my perspective the ONLY countries that could/should be remotely considered as a ‘friend to the US worth protecting’ are the FSUs - Former Soviet Union outlier countries. The rest? Germany France, Belgium, Norway, Denmark, Sweden and even the UK can just suck it. They aren’t our friends and we certainly shouldn’t risk our greatest treasure protecting them from the threat of the Russian Bear.
It's always the solution to shutting down all opposition domestically.
If it will end the supply chain problem, and empty shelves too, I say go for it. I can't find any cream cheese around here.

Yes. I know he gave arms to the Ukraine. I don’t care.
And no. I don’t care about Russia’s expansion. The Ukraine is a corruption-filled pimple. I’d rather it be on Russia’s ass than on ours.
Russia is going to insist on its own ‘sphere of influence’ and I don’t see any benefit to the US on fighting this. If the Euroweenies won’t defend themselves and their neighbors, then eff ‘em all.
About the only eastern Europeans I give a damn about are the Poles.
Even then.
The fault is the political leadership (including general officers) not with the troops.
If true, why does the deep state hate her so much?
There is no way we can logistically support US forces fighting in the Ukraine and attempting to do so will swiftly escalate the fighting.
Somebody seems to have forgotten “The First Rule” which is never get involved in a land war in Asia. The Ukraine is close enough to Asia to count.
“It’s a bad combination when you have a not-too-bright politician looking to say something that will get her attention.”
So, you think it is routine and safe for the United States and Russia to get into a war?
Did you ever hear the story of how programmed Russian computers, based on an incorrect reading of satellite photos of clouds over some part of the United States, were eight minutes away from launching a full scale nuclear attack on the United States in the 80s? And were stopped at the last minute by a low-level operative?
The Russians eased him out of his position since that was not his decision to make, but I think they gave him a pension and retired him.
I will have a different reaction.
War with Russia is a terrible idea. But mutually assured destruction is not a foregone conclusion. She knows that, but she said it for attention.
