At least 27 people underwent the controversial anal swab tests at an apartment building in Beijing where a 26-year-old woman had contracted Omicron, the city's first recorded case of the variant, according to Chinese newspaper The Beijing News.
The anal tests involve inserting a sterile cotton swab up to two inches (5cm) into the rectum and rotating it several times. The swab is then removed before being analysed in a lab. Anal swab testing has been used in China since 2020, but became prevalent in Beijing in January 2021 after a nine-year-old boy tested positive for the virus.
China sparked further controversy in March last year when it expanded the use of the anal swabs to any foreign travellers flying into Beijing.

Having a sharp stick pushed up your nostrils until it is one inch away from your minimally protected brain.
After a couple billion of those near-brain probes, no one has ever tested swabbing the completely safe lower nostrils to see if you get exactly the same result.

The Chinese anal swabbed a group of USA State Department employees about a year ago.
Judicial Watch sued the State Department for related documents and communications, but State refuses to turn them over.

It’s convenient. If the anal test comes out positive they can turn the swab around for a confirmation test up the nose.
There will be no worms if taking Ivermectin. It has been deworming horses for decades.

Thank God the Daily Mail clarified that for us! My thoughts, and prayers were already focused on the poor Chinese citizens that were potentially forced to roam the countryside with anal protrusions,and unwanted ear cleaning of strangers whilst walking through crowds!
Sadly, the winter olympics will be a joke, and as usual, NBC will do everything in it’s power to “lipstick the pig” that is the CCP. I have no interest in watching it this year, and I actually wish that we’d boycott the games.
The restrictions they plan to impose on the athletes will destroy their (for most of them) once in a lifetime opportunity, and take away the experience of visiting/enjoying/learning about a “new” country, and it’s culture. :(
You better watch out, they’re in control. Hopefully TSA will have private swab booths.
