EU climate monitor reports last seven years were world’s hottest on record

The last seven years have been the hottest on record globally "by a clear margin", the European Union's climate monitoring service reported Monday, as it raised the alarm over sharp increases in record concentrations of methane in the atmosphere.

In its latest annual assessment, the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) confirmed that 2021 had joined the unbroken warm streak since 2015.

It found that last year was the fifth warmest on record globally, marginally warmer than 2015 and 2018. Accurate measurements go back to the mid-19th century.

"2021 was yet another year of extreme temperatures with the hottest summer in Europe, heatwaves in the Mediterranean, not to mention the unprecedented high temperatures in North America," said C3S Director Carlo Buontempo.

"These events are a stark reminder of the need to change our ways, take decisive and effective steps toward a sustainable society and work towards reducing net carbon emissions."

Vincent-Henri Peuch, director of the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service, which tracks greenhouse gas increases, said observational evidence was crucial in the effort to avoid "climate catastrophe".

Liars

Atlanta GA has an average of 46 plus over 90 degree days a year. Last year we had 18.

That’s their narrative, regardless of the facts. It’s a religion.

In other news, billionaires and millionaires are abandoning their coastal properties due to the emergency of climate change—giving them away for pennies on the dollar....

Oops.

We knew they would say this, the actual temperature data notwithstanding. The global warming hoax never disappoints.

OK, but there’s been no warming beyond normal noise in the system for 20 years.

How come it wasn’t ‘the hottest’ in China? Or don’t they have their network of temp fabrication stations funded over there.

Yeah, funny how when the raw data is adjusted upward to fit a failed theory how there is suddenly a clear margin backing up the theory. The trick then is justifying the adjustments when its brought up, and otherwise talk as if the adjustments were not made and the adjysted data is actually real life. Heck with this kind of “science” the data always backs your theory!

Accurate measurements go back to the mid-19th century

This is a lie. 75% of the Earth's surface is covered by water. On April 1, 1960, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) launched TIROS-1, the world's first successful meteorological satellite. So until that time, there are NO accurate climate records for 75% of the Earth's surface. I'd argue the populated areas land-based mercury thermometers of the mid-1800's were far less accurate than instruments of even 50 years ago.

Oh yeah? How long is that “record?” 100 years? 200 years? How about we take a lil peak back into geologic time, boys n girls? Doing so will put the lie to your fetid “man-made climate change” bullsh*t.

bs- there was just a report that there was no warming for 7 years- so of course they come out and say the exact opposite-

The Earth’s magnetic field has been steadily weakening over the last few decades - and the magnetic poles are shifting further from the geographic poles. IOW, a magnetic pole shift is in progress. The weakening magnetic field allows for more cosmic radiation to impact our atmosphere, which in turn increase the scope and rate of dust and aerosol nucleation. That process leads to increased cloud formation and storms. However, it also leads to an increase in the Earth’s albedo - the reflectivity of our atmosphere, so more solar radiation is reflected back to space.

Not one of the climate models takes the nucleation process into consideration. In fact, computer models in general have a very difficult time in describing or predicting cloud formation.

Moreover, all of the models predict a “hot spot” forming within the tropical troposphere, if climate warming was actually happening. However, to date, no such predicted phenomenon has been found.

“The University of Alabama in Huntsville data set, regarded as the most reliable global temperature data set developed from satellites, has shown that there has been no global warming at all for the last seven years.”

Copernicus Climate Change Service C3S is one of six thematic information services provided by the Copernicus Earth Observation Programme of the European Union.

Copernicus is the European Union's Earth observation programme, looking at our planet and its environment to benefit all European citizens. It offers information services that draw from satellite Earth Observation and in-situ (non-space) data.
