The CDC announced on its website that to control the spread of disease within their borders, states have laws to enforce the use of isolation and quarantine. The law also includes the use of police power functions in their quarantine stations.
“In addition to serving as medical functions, isolation and quarantine also are “police power” functions, derived from the right of the state to take action affecting individuals for the benefit of society,” CDC stated on their website.
More from CDC :
States have police power functions to protect the health, safety, and welfare of persons within their borders. To control the spread of disease within their borders, states have laws to enforce the use of isolation and quarantine.
These laws can vary from state to state and can be specific or broad. In some states, local health authorities implement state law. In most states, breaking a quarantine order is a criminal misdemeanor.
Tribes also have police power authority to take actions that promote the health, safety, and welfare of their own tribal members. Tribal health authorities may enforce their own isolation and quarantine laws within tribal lands, if such laws exist.
Who Is in Charge:
1. The federal government
- Acts to prevent the entry of communicable diseases into the United States. Quarantine and isolation may be used at U.S. ports of entry.
- Is authorized to take measures to prevent the spread of communicable diseases between states.
- May accept state and local assistance in enforcing federal quarantine.
- May assist state and local authorities in preventing the spread of communicable diseases.

“Gulag” would be
another name.
Right. With all this control out for a mild respiratory illness that 98% survive, what about an Ebola virus with50% death rate? Shoot to kill at the test turning positive? Barges filled with living people testing positive sent out to sea? There’s no perspective here. Just control freaks failing to stop a cold from spreading.
Just what we need here, another newbie troll.
bttt
To give Joe Biden credit, he said that this is a states issue. He’s a politician but even a broken clock is right twice a day.
What planet are YOU from?
No one, except illegals are going to Mexifornia...
Mexifornians are fleeing to Texas and Florida (and aren’t wanted).
Once a day (military clock)..
;^)
I think it is a better idea that the buearuarcrates do it themselves rather than send someone else like the police or military, that way we could have a one on one with the cowards, if u know what I mean!
love all the clowns that think these klansmen idiots originated in CA. CA was destroyed by leftists leaving the North East.
NBD!
Our communist masters know that the spineless & cowardly Aamerican people will just roll over and spread their collective cheeks...
Bow down!... Obey!... Snitch!...
Get used to it or do something significant about it...
For a start, import a several hundred thousand people from the Czech Republic and Kazakhstan...
OMG!
Center mass even.
They are keeping to their plan regardless
And right on cue, all the “back the blue” idiots will say that the police will NEVER do such a thing on behalf of totalitarian government.
Let me know when the pandemic has gotten serious enough to close the southern border. Until then, I’ll just live a normal life.
The CDC didn’t “announce” anything.
This same information has been on their website for the past decade.
Why do these crazy wackadoodle websites lie and claim that quarantine laws (which have nothing to do with COVID) are something new?
Every State has quarantine laws. They date back to the founding of our nation. They’ve been in effect throughout COVID.
No one is coming to send you to camps.
CDC paper on internment camps for the unvaccinated.
“The shielding approach aims to reduce the number of severe COVID-19 cases by limiting contact between individuals at higher risk of developing severe disease (“high-risk”) and the general population (“low-risk”). High-risk individuals would be temporarily relocated to safe or “green zones” established at the household, neighborhood, camp/sector or community level depending on the context and setting.1,2 They would have minimal contact with family members and other low-risk residents.”

Amen! to that, brother.
They are conditioning us that it is normal for people to be taken off the streets for a disease that you might not even know you have and that it is also normal if you happen to die in custody.
You need to substantiate that. Newsom was born in San Francisco and attended Redwood High School and graduated from Santa Clara University.
` Lt. Gov. Eleni Kounalakis (D) graduated from Dartmouth College in 1989 and earned her Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from U.C. Berkeley’s Haas School of Business in 1992.

And about twice as many ppl move from CA to TX than the opposite (map up to 2019): i https://kinder.rice.edu/urbanedge/2021/03/03/californians-moving-to-texas-covid-migration
It is hardly logical that Texans would move to CA unless they were attracted to an already liberal state. And they are:
Texas' population grew more than twice as fast as California's ...
https://www.sfchronicle.com › local › article › Texas-p...https://www.sfchronicle.com › local › article › Texas-p...Apr 27, 2021 — Texas was the most popular destination for ex-Californians between 2010 and 2019. During that time, nearly 700,000 Californians moved to Texas, ...
What you can make a case for is the those from CA are not mostly liberal.
When looking at where the movers to Texas came from, patterns emerge. Movers from other states were about 1 percent more likely to have voted for Trump than were natives, while movers from overseas favored Biden by 9 percent over natives. Among domestic migrants to Texas, Trump was most heavily favored by arrivals from the Mountain West, where Trump enjoyed a plus 13-point margin over the support of native Texans followed by the four-state region of Alabama, Kentucky, Mississippi, and Tennessee with a plus-8 advantage. Counterintuitively — at least among Texans with an opinion — the area with the third-highest support for Trump among movers was California, where movers were 5 percent more likely to have supported Trump than were natives.about 40 percent of Texans weren’t born in Texas, -
However,
about 35,000 to 40,000 Texans move to California every year, over twice as many leave CA for TX. And "more than 700,000 Californians have moved to the Lone Star state since 2008. It’s part of the reason historically bright red Texas has turned surprisingly purple in 2020." "While Barack Obama lost Texas by 16 points in his 2012 re-election bid, in 2016 Hillary Clinton closed that gap to single-digits. Two years later, Democrat Beto O’Rourke lost to incumbent Republican Senator Ted Cruz by less than three points."
As for me, I am one of the frozen chosen in MA, by the grace of God.
