This is for the “several states” and not intra state travel, and only to prevent spread of certain diseases. They derive the authority from the interstate commerce clause, of which this alleged authority of the cdc is far far removed. In the 90s congress tried to create a national domestic violence law contrived under the commerce clause. SCOTUS rejected that notion, and struck down the law as unconstitutional bc domestic violence was too far removed from commerce

If challenged in court, it likely wouldn’t pass constitutional muster, so it’s unlikely the cdc would use this to isolate people or part of the country. The left is already in trouble with the administrative procedures act and delegation authority, which SCOTUS is likely to over turn much of the administrative state power. To start isolating people would be very foolish.

Besides, in order to inturn people in campsyou have to take their guns first.
