WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) today issued the following statement in opposition to the Senate commission investigating the January 6 terrorist attack on the Capitol:
"The January 6 terrorist attack on the Capitol was a dark moment in our nation's history, and I fully support the ongoing law enforcement investigations into anyone involved. Everyone who attacked the Capitol must be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and brought to justice. I also support the Senate committees of jurisdiction who are exercising their proper oversight roles to provide an in-depth and complete account of the attack. With multiple investigations already underway, I do not support the politically motivated January 6 Commission led by Sen. Schumer and Speaker Pelosi."
Like he tries too hard to trick people instead of the easier path of sincerity.
I used to be a big fan of Senator Cruz.
He crossed the line with his statement.
I now have no use for him.

“I disagree with it, and I have disagreed with the president’s language and rhetoric for the last four years,” the Texas Republican added. “If you looked to what I have said, you will not find me say the same language or rhetoric.

Tx, Please remember this. Cruz must be living in the DC bubble and has zero idea what people back home are thinking. He is out of touch. He just qualified himself for a primary and disqualified himself from ever being on the supreme court. He may have read the US Constitution, but he certainly didn’t understand it. His slip of the tongue came from the gut. We don’t need Republicans with bad instincts. He is fundamentally wrong for America.

And the thing is, with certain crimes, Murder being the top one, they don’t need cooperating witnesses/victims to prosecute. Rape, Robbery, certain domestic violence cases, victims don’t have to cooperate.
The video, if I’m not mistaken, was taken from a pole camera. That’s why it didn’t move.
Once that guy was tossed from the, dead, everyone involved in the shooting can be charged with Murder. Will it be the strongest case ever brought into a courtroom? Nope. But, let 12 people from Chicago, who are sick of what is going on there and live in fear, decide what happens. Guarantee, that when those kids start to realize that they’re looking at life, in Joliet, someone cracks.

I spent about 15 minutes talking with that guy at a Trump rally. He was upbeat, friendly, had a great sense of humor and his beef seemed to be with the globalist who are attempting to destroy the U.S. We posed for pics with him and all had a good laugh...

Upgrade? Low expectations yield mediocre results. Cruz is no different than Trey Gowdy. Both are notorious for barking loudly (typically in hearings) only when voters are paying attention but never biting (meaning making a significant change or result). They are opportunists motivated only by keeping their position. Never fighting the unpopular fight and bringing results. Leaders with integrity do not shift with the wind and they actively address problems. It seems those who support Cruz seem to think his intelligence outweighs his character failures. Most sociopaths are very intelligent and tend to be lawyers, doctors, politicians. One should focus more on character than intelligence. Cruz is a grifter and opportunist. He does not care about the people.
