Former White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham said Thursday that more than a dozen of her former Trump administration colleagues plan to meet next week to try and stop former President Donald Trump as he continues to "manipulate people and divide our country."
"Next week, a group of former Trump staff are going to come together, administration officials are going to come together and we're going to talk about how we can formally do some things to try and stop him and also, the extremism, that that kind of violence, rhetoric that has been talked about and continues to divide our country," Grisham told CNN's John Berman and Brianna Keilar in an interview on "New Day."
Grisham, who was also chief of staff to former first lady Melania Trump, declined to reveal who will be joining her in the efforts, but said there would be "about 15" of her former colleagues, including some who worked inside the White House. Some of the officials, she said, were junior to her, while others were senior. A few of the officials had "informal chats," did outreach to others, and conducted "some Zooms, some conference calls," culminating in the partially in-person formal meeting next week, according to Grisham.
Several people involved in the effort who spoke to CNN said the group currently includes between 15 to 20 individuals who served in the Trump administration, but have since soured on the former President, and who believe his indisputable control of the Republican Party is negatively impacting the country.
Among those invited to participate in the meeting were former senior officials like Chris Krebs, who had directed the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency inside the Department of Homeland Security, and former top White House aides like John Bolton, whom Trump ousted from his role as

More traitors come out of the woodwork.
Oh, Bolton resurfaces again. Who the frick cares?
Bought and paid for. Human chattel.
Maybe someone in FedGov who is looking for the next country to bomb?
Volunteering for a place on the month of the long knives list.
If patriotic Americans were like them there would be infiltrators sabotaging their operations.
Of course, none of these things are true insurrections (though the past and current efforts of the deep state definitely fit the definition of “sedition”), but words no longer have fixed nor precise meanings in the brave new world.
Not that the Constitution matters these days, but the only qualifications needed to be elected President are: 35 years of age, 14 years of residency, natural born citizen. Based on that how do they intend to stop him?
“Lunatic fringe-we know you’re out there-
You’re in hiding and, you hold your meetings”...
People like john Bolton do this s*** in private industry, too-we call them disgruntled/hostile former employees, and they usually file frivolous lawsuits as well as holding meetings...
Dang, they’re the divisive ones. Trash.
Which he holds by let and leave of the voters who support him and support his endorsements and rejections of republican candidates. And you bitter twisted self-serving sellouts just cannot stand someone working for the voters. It sounds like work, something none of these folks have ever done in their lives.
Gee whiz, Stephanie and unnamed ex Trump officials, isn’t it up to the voters to decide who we want as president?
Ya know....
For a guy who prior to becoming President, was perhaps famous for a TV show about hiring the best people to help run his businesses....
He sure has been lousy at finding people even halfway competent, much less honorable to help him run the nation. Most of them are horrible backstabbers.
This is like a reunion with the old timers who hate Trump back to slap each other’s backs and trade exaggerated stories about knifing him in the back or lying about him to the press or dictating “as told to” books to actual writers.
A real shame if Comey, Brennan, McCabe, Bolton, Gen Kelly and all the rest happened to be in one room for a party and something “terrible” happened. So much talent and brain power lost./S
Trump’s strength, what made him popular and got him elected was, he is an outsider. The downside of that was, as president he suddenly had to staff a huge number of jobs. Possible three to four thousand. Imagine you’ve just bought a huge company with dozens of businesses you don’t know anything about running. You’d have to staff it from people who were already working there or who were in that industry. Thus, Trump had to turn to the Republican party and outside organizations like “The Federalist’s Society.” None of these people liked Trump. He was an outsider. It would be as if, say, a Chinese national who didn’t even speak your language took over your company. They hated him, but they took his jobs and his money. But they hated him. So, when they say Trump’s former people, they mean people he had to hire to make things run, but who hated him.
Bush League Republicans want their party back so they can go back to assisting the Democrats in destroying the country.
“declined to reveal who will be joining her in the efforts”
Yeah, probably a good thing for ‘em.
Name those names and watch the shiitestorm begin.
Roll MAGA, roll!
