I feel so foolish for having supported Dick Cheney in the past.
I blame it on believing at the time there was a difference between the two parties.

I agree. I NEVER had respect for Princess Liz (I was anti-Liz Cheney BEFORE it was cool, and got bashed by other FReepers on here for questioning the “Liz Cheney is the true conservative anti-establishment Tea Party warrior” narrative that people like Levin and Limbaugh were pushing), but I always respected her old man. NO MORE. Even Adam Kinzinger skipped this farce. Way more Americans died during Biden’s botched Afghanistan withdrawl, where’s the “moment of silence” for that?
All you can say about Dick Cheney is that he is aptly named.
It is also pertinent that the stupidest man to hold office until the current one thought he was a pillar of sound advice. Late Rome has nothing on us.
Lynne was brilliant on CNN a few decades back. She was sharp
as a tack and hitting solid Conservative points.
I haven’t seen her in years. I’d sure hate to see the rest
of the family go bat S crazy with her being the only sane one
in the bunch.
I don’t know, I could never be a Leftist. It’s so clear what
they are up to.
I was 16-18 when the anti-Vietnam movement was sweeping the
nation. I could get their point, but they hated the US with
a passion. It hasn’t changed one bit since. Now they are
just bolder in saying what they actually want.
Not one family member pulled me aside to tell me I should
vote for the Ds or the Rs. It was simple and intuitive.

In those formative years, I was choosing which direction
to go politically, and there is no way I would ever side with
people hating our nation for being a Constitutional Republic
run on a Capitalist Free Enterprise system.
It wasn’t even close, my decision.
I’ll die a rock solid Conservative, and then vote as a
Leftist I’m sure.
