I think you are correct. Look at how the system ties to track after the plane hits the ground.

A friend who has flown often from Gillespie and has IFR credentials mentioned that the Lear 35 was cleared for a precision landing on the short runway. He canceled and requested a VFR on the long runway. He says it's a "sporty" approach with a twin engine. A lot more complex with the Lear.
