Exactly. I was required to test before my carotid surgery and before my upper GI. As a routine just to see if i have it? Nope. And i have a cold right now but zero desire to go to an ER. Theraflu, zicam and my normal supplements.

I take my temp and use my oximeter...and watch for any coughing or breathing difficulty.
But mostly...because I'm old (78)...I rarely am out...and it's in a store for a few minutes.
Going out gives me some fresh air...and I park my car far away so I get an extra dose of fresh air and exercise.

tell me about the cycles that are run to detect viruses....is it true that normally the cyles are 25 and with the covid cabal they are run at 40 which brings many more cases?....

I have never gone to the hospital for the flu, ever....tamiflu is all the rage but a good doc I know says it merely shortens you virus by maybe 24 hrs...
I know one on Medicaid that went to the ER something like 60 times in a 10-month period.
I didn’t make any judgments of you. I asked a question and then suggested you stop judging people who have been dealing first-hand with infected people for 21 months.
If you’ve spent thousands of hours observing shifts of emergency healthcare providers everywhere not touching presumed infectious people, it would be surprising. Surprising because I don’t think ER patients — even those who test positive for COVID — are treated as “untouchables.”

I just spent time talking to my neice who was a tech in the Hopkins COVID unit for a year from the start of this hysteria.
She is done with the hysteria. She got vaxed, but she has had it with the nonsense of treating this as the worst thing ever.
Yes, I have connections. I am not disparaging every medical person, but the whole system has gone nuts. They DO shut us out for having sniffles, for having contact with someone, and even having had COVID. All that whining about “don’t be afraid to go to the doc” is NOT why people stopped…it’s because when you answer the screening wrong, you’ll be turned away at the door. Waste of time, and possible “delay of treatment”.
Someone is making decisions that this is so dangerous they don’t want sniffles around. And you know at least half of them are medical. And the others “just follow orders”. Unfortunately, more and more the orders are coming from a few at the national level.

I wonder how you administer the home tests. Is it with spittle, or sticking a swab up your nose? I’d think twice about sticking anything from the government in any orifice. Your never know what’s on it.

True. When we lived in CA my boss had me in the ER because I passed out at work. If an illegal came in, he was sent to the head of the line while the rest of us waited for hours. It was maddening.
I agree, it is very maddening. The reason illegals are treated with preference is because if they aren’t the aclu will sue the hospitals for “discrimination “ but the fact remains, hospitals are discriminating zgaisnt legal citizens and giving priority care to illegals for fear of being sued for discrimination.
I hate that they are clogging up emergency rooms for non emergency issues that illegals have, but we are called racists if we complain about illegals, regardless of race, get preferential treatment. The American tax payer is the one who pays the bills for the illegals, but we are treated like dirt as thanks
