The jurors have found Kim Potter, the former Brooklyn Center police officer who shot and killed Daunte Wright, guilty on counts of both first- and second-degree manslaughter.

The jury had deliberated for approximately 28 hours Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Late Tuesday, they asked Judge Regina Chu what they should do if they could not arrive at a verdict. Speaking with the jurors, Chu told them they needed to continue with deliberations with open minds and a willingness to listen to each other’s viewpoints.

I think it should of just been guilty on 2nd count of manslaughter not both. Hope she gets light sentence.

I honestly don’t know how anyone could confuse a gun with a taser, but even if she did, she clearly violated most of the rules of gun safety. I think a finding of negligent homicide would have been appropriate.

Alec Baldwin should be charged with the same thing.

You may be the first person to say that. He was not blameless. He didn’t deserve a death sentence but if he hadn’t resisted, it would have turned out better for all involved. He would be in jail and this trial would never have happened!

Tragic for many reasons. Not the least hiring individuals not suited to the profession. Not being able to distinguish taser from side arm under pressure is difficult to excuse.

the jury knew what would happen to them and their city if they did not find her guilty. Our judicial system is destroyed.

“You don’t shoot people by accident.”

No? Alec Baldwin will never see the inside of a jail cell for killing that woman on his movie set. He won’t even be criminally charged.

And the murdering Capital Hill cop who shot and killed Ashly Babbitt was praised for doing a good job. He was told to claim publicly that he saved lives by killing her. This country is so effed!!

“How does this relate to Ashley Babbit ?”

Melanin content. Babbit was a white woman, and was shot in cold blood by a black cop. In the New Amerika, it is okay for a black cop to shoot and kill a white. Remember that black cop in Minnesota who shot and killed that unarmed white woman who had called the police? Initially he was charged and convicted, but that went against the New Order, so the PTB overturned his conviction.

I said the same thing to my wife when Potter was first charged: No way in hell in Minnesota will a white cop who shot a black get a break. Well, maybe up in the boundary waters area.

No. But it will be appealed.

Correct. If Rittenhouse had made one error, then he would’ve been locked up. Meanwhile rioters don’t even get charged, we are losing. People fear the left, not the right.

There was one black person on the jury.
Minnesotans are gullible, passive idiots. The one member of the jury that was fighting the black juror, finally caved.

(this is my opinion)

“Maybe hire better officers”

This verdict insures that no one will apply. You couldn’t pay me enough to be a police officer in Minnesota, or any blue state for that matter.

I’m sure the jury was considering “race riots” in the city if they didn’t convict. This verdict was a classic example of Mob Rule. Wait until the jury discovers Wright’s long criminal background. I hope they are ashamed of themselves. Although I doubt it.
