Haven’t you heard of felony pants pulling up?
Haven’t you heard of felony pants pulling up?
Nothing like playing a game of Simon Sez with bunch or armed cops....and 4 of them think they are Simon.
Done to prevent rioting(?)
Maybe because she pulled her gun out and shot the guy, accident but is there any doubt she pulled the trigger and killed him?
Indeed.
I would respond, but I’m not sure what you are talking about. I didn’t say anything about applications.
Michael Byrd Was Never Even Charged for Intentionally Killing Ashli Babbitt.
Hers was an accident, his was intentional.
You're right, I think I read more into your statement than what you were actually trying to say.
“I knew she was in trouble when she took the stand in her own defense. That is a desperation, hail mary tactic.”
Isn’t that what Kyle Rittenhouse did successfully?
I think anything more severe than involuntary manslaughter for her confused mistake doesn’t seem warranted.
So because the Babbit shooting was not handled properly you believe all other incidents must be handled incorrectly?!?
Nonsensical.
I blame the manufacturer and designer of the taser. It looks and feels like a pistol. She is not the first to make that error.
She goes down because of a mistake but the fed’s get away with murder. Okay, got it.
Not saying she shouldn’t be punished but the crime doesn’t fit the punishment.
Manslaughter is the unjustifiable, inexcusable, and intentional killing of a human being without deliberation, premeditation, and malice.
That did not happen.
Yes, but under very unusual circumstances. The prosecution's case was laughable; it was a clear case of self defense. Kyle had no prior arrests or prosecutions on which he could be cross examined. He is not a law enforcement officer and therefore had no duty of care in that regard. Plus, he is a very articulate young man who wanted to explain his actions to the jury. In those circumstances, had I been his lawyer, I probably would have let him testify since that was evidently his strong desire. Basically, that was an exception to the rule.
Kim was not an exception to the rule. She broke down on the stand and admitted she drew the wrong weapon. She basically threw herself on the mercy of the jury and they had none.
...........without looking it up, I don’t think this is a Federal Crime so she might get only 5 years or something around that number. I don’t think that female judge (from just looking at her on a video) is going to lock her up forever.
