“You don’t need to bribe police officers and get your friends to lie about alibi when you’re not guilty,” she said.Bribed cops? There's a bit more to this story, and our brave jurist is just getting to the tip of it. Not sure how the journalist could leave that quote in without describing the full extent of what this psychopath did. From a detective's testimony:
“She was laying there; she was wearing only underwear. I noticed multiple stab wounds on her body. Her hands were by her chest. Her elbows clenched up. Her wrists were bound together with cloth, a belt to a robe. Her feet were tightly bound. Her ankles were bound by an electrical cord,” Williams said.Of course BLM is involved, there's a change.org fundraiser, twitter campaigns, and a rap song. Maybe Obama can claim him as a son. Here for more on their darling child, a glowing portrayal from NewTimes (of course):
Detective testifies about crime scene during Resiles’ trial for Jill Halliburton Su’s murder
Adored by all of his teachers, he spent his time outside school reading books or catching crabs in the Middle River. He was nicknamed "Moochie" because he ate so much .... "He was a bright, intelligent kid," Johnson says. "He just chose the wrong people to hang out with, I guess."And so on, into burglary, babies, and murder -- and a romantic escape from the law:
Broward Escape Artist Dayonte Resiles Could Face Death Despite Questionable Evidence.
Resiles was 21 when he escaped during a pre-trial hearing on July 15, 2016, from Judge Raag Singhal’s courtroom on the fourth floor.Nice choice of heroes, you self-deceiving, lying fools. God bless this jury forewoman for standing up for the truth.
Surveillance video shows Resiles running down the stairs. He left his shackles and jumpsuit behind and wore a fake police uniform. Detectives later accused his girlfriend, friends, and relatives of helping him to execute a plan that he came up with.
His supporters used “#runmoochierun” on social media for days and a local rapper later made a song in his honor.
Paging Charles Bronson….
If the killer had been white, the jurors would have ordered a steak lunch and had him buried under the prison before the creme brulee was cool.
Non-black lives don’t matter. Only blacks matter.
Or so the media and government and tech titans tell us.
How is that (and what the black jurors in the immediate case attempted to do) not the same thing as jury nullification?
This is the same “mothering protection” that created the little monster that never learned consequences of actions.
Had an ex like that. She would get in my face and never let her son, my stepson, experience discipline.
Best day of my life was when she left me.
Sad ending though in that her lazy son could never deal with reality and took his life by suicide 12 years later at age 28.
The color of your skin does not matter to these people. The victim could have been black brown green orange purple - color does not matter.
Because for these people the perp was jus doin’ what he does to survive, ya know.
And he’s not guilty ‘cause the system is against him, and he’s just trying to eat or pay the rent.
What is unjust about a law against committing murder? Should people who murder other people in their own homes after the murderer has broken in walk free? This is not jury Nullification. But this is Free Republic. Where many here thought the Three Musketeers from Georgia committed no crime[s]. The Jury, State of Georgia, and Judge felt otherwise.
see my tagline ...
I would say more but my legitimate observations concerning such subjects have already garnered me accusations of racism. Seems even on FR we're not allowed to acknowledge the obvious.
“How is that (and what the black jurors in the immediate case attempted to do) not the same thing as jury nullification?”
Jury nullification was designed so jurors could judge the law as well as the facts. Is the law against murder just? Clearly it is. Back in the days of slavery many Northern juries refused to convict defendants charged with violating the Fugitive Slave Act as it was clearly an unjust law.
This isn’t jury nullification. It’s racial vengeance. Big difference.

The South Florida Sun Sentinel is contributing to the problem by capitalizing the word “black”, implying that black skin people are special and thus not required to obey the laws of society.
The problems is not gender, or skin color.
The problem is irrational illogical emotional decision makers, no matter the gender or skin color.
If, during the jury selection process, the black jurors said they could convict him, they obviously lied, and should be charged with perjury and should be brought up on charges. If they don’t face consequences for their lying to get on a jury, this will continue to happen. Stop playing games with these people or they will destroy our legal system.
Maybe an automatic death sentence for murder would help. Of course, there would have to be a murder conviction. Maybe there was in this state; I don’t know.
True dat.
The VAST majority of racists are not white. More whites in America, means less racism. Just the facts man. Nobody I know, who BTW are ALL white, would judge adversely against a so called minority because of race. Most would give them the benefit of the doubt over white people. They have no judgement. People seem to believe that they are “to love one another”. They don’t have the judgement to understand that it IS love to put this piece of human garbage to death. It is love of the law, love of God, and love of humanity that DEMANDS IT. No race involved, send him to his maker. The best time this man to find redemption is now, not after years of living in prison.
OK, yes, however the result is the same. (Blacks see the law as unjust because they view it through the prism of coming about as a result of white suppression/supremacy.)
In the end this is jury nullification by another name if you want to term it as racial vengeance (I’d tend to agree that’s where the thought process comes from).
Murder of an innocent elderly woman in cold blood has absolutely nothing to do with white supremacy.
