Woke wannabe critics are attempting to cancel some of the most beloved holiday films in history, calling out problematic plot lines and characters in movies such as “Love Actually” (2003) and “The Holiday” (2006).
Movies made as far back as the 1940s are also being targeted by the Twitterverse for racism and misogyny.

Remember the brouhaha over the song "Baby, It's Cold Outside"? Some stations will won't play that song - it has been removed by the station I have listened to for years over the holidays.I really don't care for the song (not for any sexist BS, I just don't like it). I don't consider it a Christmas song, any more than "Got My Love to keep me Warm". However, I have heard it on Sirius XM stations.

I suppose Rufus Sewell’s character could be accused of lecherous behavior, but he is “the villain” of the film so it fits the story. As others have pointed out, the “good guys” are more women than the women in the film, with both the ladies being portrayed as the strong leads. Jude Law, especially, since he’s a weepy mess, and essentially “Mr. Mom.”

Well, at least they didn’t cancel ‘Die Hard’... And for the benefit of Alec Baldwin: Nobody died from a gun going off all by itself during the filming of Die Hard.

When the United States faces its next military crisis I wonder if anyone will be complaining about ‘toxic masculinity’ when we need brave soldiers to defend the nation?
After Pearl Harbor, the much-disliked Admiral Ernest King was called upon to become the commander in chief of US Naval forces, he said, "When they get in trouble they send for the sons-of-bitches."
His daughter said of King: "He is the most even-tempered person in the United States Navy. He is always in a rage."

I can’t think of a better recommendation for a movie than for it to trigger the ‘woke.’

What a bunch of joyless, bitter dickflutes. I’ll wager they’re a real fun time at Christmas gatherings.

Exactly! Isn’t that what they always tell others to do? In the past when people would complain about the raunch on tv, ads, etc. They always say “Just turn the channel if you don’t like it!” Or “You don’t have to look at it then.” Effing hypocrites.
