"As detectives search for clues about what led up to the shooting, the Oakland County Sheriff confirms what the 7 Investigators have been learning from several sources: that Oxford High School officials met with the teen and his parents about concerning behavior just hours before the shooting.
"“We had no information from the schools. But we have since learned that the schools did have contact with the student the day before and the day of the shooting for behavior in the classroom that they felt was concerning. In fact, the parents were brought in the morning of the shooting and had a face-to-face with the school,” said Sheriff Michael Bouchard.
"Bouchard would not reveal the topics discussed during that meeting, only that his liaison officer in the school was not told about it. Bouchard also confirmed the school allowed Crumbley to stay in the building after that 10:00 a.m. meeting Tuesday, and around 12:50 p.m. the shooting started.
"Bouchard said the “content of that meeting obviously is part of the investigation.”"

My son was bullied in HS by the “jocks” and when he bolted from the building to escape them HE was the one and only one to get a 1 day suspension.
The principal-enabler was later charged with vandalising her Assistant’s car.

I keep hearing all this bully stuff. This kid shot up 11 people including a teacher.

All of society suffers when they closed mental institutions. Its not sustainable. Puts everyone at risk. Now they want to and have been releasing criminals onto the streets.
Adding to the speculation (and this is pure uninformed speculation on my part), wondering if the parents had a meeting with the school and the school did not look favorably on the kid, the kids parents relayed the conversation to the kid and upon hearing it, the kid went off.
“So this is what the school said about you.”

The kid was at the school when the parents were called in and, in fact, the school fetched the kid from class and brought him into the meeting with the parents. The parents then left afterward and a couple hours later the shooting commenced.
I was wrong. There is more press on Waukesha - sympathy stories for the perp.

I don’t understand school parents. If your kid is being bullied every day in school, to the point where he cannot handle it, why continue to send him there? This kid was never in any trouble. He was bullied. That morning, the school called his parents in for a talk about HIS behavior. We don’t know the content of that meeting, but we can guess: He probably snapped and said something to his tormentor(s), or, that is, those he viewed as his tormentors. Then the school and the parents had him stay in his classes that day. Then he started shooting people.
I knew parents whose kids were relentlessly tormented in school, so they removed them from school. They literally saved their kids’ lives. Other parents need to let their bullied kids know that they have other options that don’t involve school. If every day is a nightmare, and if your child does not have the ability to handle it, then stop sending him there. Otherwise, your child might snap one day.
Not all schools are GFZs.

I have personally seen that in Wiggins High School, has “Our staff is armed and will use force” signs on the doors.
Here is an angle; did the dad WANT this situation to occur? Usually if someone is a conservative we find out everything almost down to his/her underwear size.
Maybe the authorities are just keeping the media at bay.
This area, no. Unless you’re going the “green zone” route with guards there to do something when metal is detected…
I honestly don’t think kids that age have a remote grasp of the consequences of doing something like this. Maybe a tour of the prison system beforehand would provide the proper incentive to resolve their issues differently.
