I’d be repeating, “I will not speak to anyone until I have an attorney present to represent me.”
I am not defending what he did, I’m commenting on how the article was written and the thinking of the author.
BTW, I have “armloads” of guns, though, almost all of them are so old and such rare calibers they’d be useless other than as wall hangers.
Why would they take any weapons?
Kid is not in the home and the weapons are not evidence of anything.
One victim is a 15-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to the head. He’s in critical condition.
Another victim is a 14-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to the head and jaw. He’s in serious condition.
A 17-year-old girl is stable after being shot in the neck.
Another victim, a 15-year-old boy, was shot in the leg and is stable.
A 47-year-old teacher was grazed with a bullet.
A 14-year-old is fighting for his life with chest and neck wounds. The sheriff said he’s currently on a ventilator after surgery.
The final victim is a 17-year-old girl who was shot in the chest and is in critical condition.
Soooooo, the shooter is in custody. The weapon used in the crime has been seized. Why then go to the parents house and seize other weapons that are:
- not involved in the crime
- not owned by the suspect
How would this be any different from a 15 year old stealing one of their parent’s cars, running over someone, and then seizing all other cars owned by the parents?
We moved every year when I was young. In the 60s. I was always “The New Kid”. And bullied. We had guns in the home.
I never in any way ever considered shooting someone.

I saw what appeared to be a couple of hunting rifles.
I overheard a High School teacher say to another that he did not try to stop bullying as it was the kid’s method of establishing a “Pecking Order” in the school.
If you have ever raised chickens you can see which chickens are at the Bottom of such an order. The chickens go out of their way to attack and beat up on it, bruised and cut up, standing away from the others, rejected.
But when the top chicken becomes injured or sick the next ones in line will gang up on it.
Same for cattle.
Armfuls, really? How many years of school did the author have? He’s lucky no one objected to his horrible writing!!!
An excuse indeed so many teens grab a gun or a car to do the damage of revenge remember when teenage boys would handle the problem with fists and many times ended up friends.
