Yes, it is a bedroom community of Austin. But, I know plenty of people who live outside of Travis county, and they are as conservative as the day is long. The joke is they are trying to figure out how to put a moat around the Austin area.

People who think that the US playing global cop in places like Ukraine, Taiwan and Afghanistan doesn’t effect the police state or your freedoms at home are fooling themselves.

For those from outside the state, Texas school police officers have arrest authority on campus and carry firearms if they are “peace officers.”
Everyone here should notice that when these men were arrested at home, the local sheriff’s department was involved.
Thus, there is not only a problem with governance and accountability at the school board level, but also at the level of the Williamson County Sheriff. Both the Board and Sheriff Mike Gleason need to be promoted to the private sector in their next election - but that’s up to the parents and other voters in Williamson County.
This raises interesting jurisdiction questions.

This needs to be deleted, the whole article is BS. The RR school district does not have it’s own law enforcement. From what I can tell these two men disrupted a meeting to the point charges were filed and a warrant was issued by I suspect the County Judge and the warrants were handled by the Sheriff’s Department.
