Most Americans are not in the mood discuss politics at the Thanksgiving dinner table this year, a Quinnipiac Poll released this week found.
“If you are visiting with family or friends this Thanksgiving, are you looking forward to discussing politics, or are you hoping to avoid discussing politics?” the survey asked.

My Family spilt after 2016 - and fell apart after 2020. No more holidays together because of the Left Wing Lunatics who are all Union Members. They are always getting screwed by the Republicans - even though most of them make more than $100 Grand a year.
Thanksgiving was once the time to “get in their face”, wasn’t it?
Good Luck, politics though will rear it’s head and the fights will be on along with the vaccine status of those in attendance of the meal. My advice stay home and don’t go anywhere.

I had a sister-in-law who was a leftist, and she would start on occasion at the holiday gatherings. My Mom and wife were like just let her rant. Sorry, I won’t start anything but I won’t take anything either was my reply. After a few go rounds she finally shut up about politics. Thank God my brother divorced the psycho.
The rest of my family are conservatives so it will be a Let’s go Brandon event if politics are brought up. About the only issue would be the jab, some of mine a pro-jab but not nazi’s about it. They know I am not pro-jab and will counter attack if they attack so it shouldn’t come up.
They quickly put this poll together for libs who don’t want to hear about the Waukesha massacre.
Yeah, no need to discuss politics. We’ve successfully avoided discussion and/or participation for decades.
And look at the wonderful, Utopian place our neglect has brought us!
We’ve acquired our chains the old-fashioned way. We’ve EARNED THEM!

As usual, my wife and I are invited to Thanksgiving dinner at her brother’s house outside of Milwaukee. He’s a Dem, but we get along just fine.
One of the other guests that is usually there is a distant relative of his. He happens to work in the Milwaukee district attorney office. He seems to be on the Conservative side (a big hunter and outdoors man), so I’m HOPING he has something to say about Waukesha.
What did you say to her?

Same here. Had a blowup with my cousin because she voted for Obama, then when she went for Hillary and against Trump I had it with her in 2016. She was Republican and heavily involved with the church, and we didn't speak and she died a couple years ago. Still speak with her kids who voted for Trump. Also had arguments with an older sister about politics, haven't seen her family since 2009. My daughters say they're happy not having to go to family gatherings because of the discord. 5 siblings on my side, and 6 siblings on my wife's side, and both families relations fell apart. This discord is nationwide.
Game time is Christmas - My bride invited our little wokester home. Youngest and only one within 1000 miles.
I have not talked to him or acknowledged his existence for several years.
Out of consideration for her, I will pick the proper time and place and then inform the little socialist bitch in clear and unambiguous language I am done with him. His relation between him and my wife is their thing but I am done
I will then verbally pound on his socialist ass, reminding him his comrade in arms tried to kill friends of mine in Waukesha on Sunday.
