In 2010, Mark Sereezer, the newly appointed senior scientist at the US government’s Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC) in Boulder, Colo. was famously quoted as saying: “the Arctic is screaming.”
But, as with countless other prophesies of climate doom, they were alarmist BS. Cap Allon writes:
This week, Arctic sea ice is approaching 10,000,000 km2 — the second highest ice extent of any of the last 15 years. Furthermore, the years 2008 and 2005 are on course to be eclipsed in the coming days/weeks, as are many from the early-2000s and mid/late-1990s — this means that 2021 will soon claim the title of ‘the highest Arctic sea ice extent of the past two decades’ (since 2001). (snip)
LOL, so many will ignore this “Science” to fit their own narrative.
Remember the closing scenes in the movie The Day After Tomorrow:
More ice = climate change so we need to increase taxes.
Less ice = climate change so we need to increase taxes.
The same ice = climate change so we need to increase taxes.
It may take a committee of “experts” to explain what is going on here.
;-)
And yet, I read less than a week ago that Antarctica’s ice sheets are breaking up, projected to be A Very Bad Thing.
Maybe nature can’t do both poles at once.
There is a simple explanation for the record growth of the polar ice and it all relates to the ongoing threat of Climate change.
The same forces causing climate change are also responsible for the divergent equatorial flow from its conventional path to a recon vectored parabolic transitional flow on a biased east/west axis which nominally causes a bilateral path which is followed by the previous but no longer in place equatorial flow.
IF it is true that Nancy Pelosi just bought a beachfront mansion in FLroida, then yes, it appears the sea level rising scam is BS.
Up is down. Black is white. In the inverted meanings of everyday things being redefined. Of course, global warming is not at all what you think it is, it is actually global cooling just backing away to take another run at us.
The planet Earth is a study in the balance of energy received with the amount of energy radiated. On a yearly basis, the balance stays pretty much the same throughout the year, as the exposure to solar radiation of any specific surface point increases, then decreases, as the axial tilt of the earth takes us through the seasons.
And the greenhouse gas that makes all this possible? Water vapor. The cycle of freezing, thawing, evaporation and condensation all takes place within a fairly narrow range, and astonishingly, most of that is confined to temperatures under which life on earth has evolved. Carbon dioxide does not, cannot, perform the same or anywhere near the same effect as water vapor on the in the environment that exists in what is commonly known as the biosphere, that level of the atmosphere and bodies of waters in which living creatures live and thrive.
I check this site just about every day.

I’d say it’s a good year for ice - but I think it’s a little early to be projecting where the ice will top out at the peak of the season.

Lol…following the science can be very inconvenient…but I’m confident the increased ice is due to globull warming…
There is “Climate Change” on Earth every minute of every day of every year....
Regarding alleged global warming, government elites also need to explain why CO2 fails to hold the heat down in the midday shadow of a solar eclipse.

And we're still waiting for global warming elites to explain why they failed to predict other relatively recent cold weather events.

gloBULL warming causes record ice flow
If you plug your atmosphere efficient car or truck into an electrical outlet to recharge it, where does the electricity come from? Dollars to doughnuts it comes from a power plant using fossil fuels to generate electricity. So, what are you accomplishing?
LGB FJB
Come on Man, we have known since the 1970’s that all our Pollution from burning fossil fuels was going to plunge the world into a cataclysmic Ice Age, it was but for Magic that it turned around and began Cooking the Planet and All life on it in 1983. Maybe the Magic has worn off??
“the idea that the melting Arctic ice cap would put coastal cities underwater.”
WRONG. Melting ocean ice doesn’t raise sea level. Only melting land ice can do that.
Many scientists have attempted to estimate when the Arctic will be "ice-free", among them Peter Wadhams who in 2014 predicted that by 2020 "summer sea ice [will] disappear,"[25][26] Wadhams and several others have noted that climate model predictions have been overly conservative regarding sea ice decline.[2][27] A 2013 paper suggested that models commonly underestimate the solar radiation absorption characteristics of wildfire soot.[28] In 2007, Professor Wieslaw Maslowski from the Naval Postgraduate School, California, predicted removal of summer ice by 2013;[29] subsequently, in 2013, Maslowski predicted 2016 ±3 years.[30] A 2006 paper predicted "near ice-free September conditions by 2040".[31] Overland and Wang (2013) investigated three different ways of predicting future sea ice levels.[32] The IPCC AR5 (for at least one scenario) estimates an ice-free summer might occur around 2050.[5] The Third U.S. National Climate Assessment (NCA), released May 6, 2014, reports that the Arctic Ocean is expected to be ice free in summer before mid-century. Models that best match historical trends project a nearly ice-free Arctic in the summer by the 2030s.[33][34] However, these models do tend to underestimate the rate of sea ice loss since 2007. Based on the outcomes of several different models, Overland and Wang (2013) put the early limit for a sea ice free summer Arctic near 2040.[32] Professor James Anderson of Harvard University envisions the Arctic Ice gone by the early 2020s. "The chance that there will be any permanent ice left in the Arctic after 2022 is essentially zero," he said in June 2019.[35] - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arctic_ice_pack
