I hadn’t heard of Winsome Sears until she appeared to acknowledge victory in her race for Virginia lieutenant governor on the evening of November 2. My immediate reaction was that a star is born. Of the politicians who spoke that night, she said what I most wanted to hear. Yesterday she appeared for a segment on CNN’s State of the Union with Dana Bash. Bash went in search of a cudgel with which to bash Sears and somehow landed on vaccines (see CNN story here). Neither our nor CNN’s State of the Union is good. However, I stand by my judgment on Winsome Sears.

va gov serves one term. next election is looking good.
VA governor can serve two terms, as long as they aren’t consecutive.
A couple of years ago, the Dems wanted to change that, and allow two consecutive terms.
I guess they’ve got other ideas, now...
Va. Gov. runs for senate(2024). Lt. Gov. assumes the seat and can hopefully run for a full term after 1 year in office.
I was delighted with the Sears announcement and knew she would campaign tirelessly and effectively. I was so hoping that she would be adequately funded and that she and the Gov/AG candidates would work together. I also was looking for an opportunity to get over to cross the river into Virginia and campaign for the slate. All of that came true. I spent the Sunday afternoon prior to election Tuesday in Fairfax station knocking doors.
Winsome Sears will represent all of us, Virginians and others, very ably over the next 4 years. I got a laugh at the comment about a Trump-Sears ticket - that indeed would make many heads explode. I don’t think it will happen but the possibility is just wonderous to contemplate.

I loved it from the start.
Perhaps the first female President of the United States.Neither Trump or DeSantis could not pick a better running mate , thats for sure.

I will be very surprised if CNN ever has her back on. Probably not any of the propaganda media outlets.

Winsome is amazing but, as she was born abroad of then-non-citizen parents, she is not eligible to be President or Vice President, sadly.
She is truly intelligent, informed, engaging, snd competent!!
