The new normal? Bay Area is hit by THIRD consecutive day of looting as 50-strong hammer gang storms jewelry store after Macy's and Lululemon stores were hit: Thieves take advantage of woke 'misdemeanor' law

The San Francisco Bay Area faced a third consecutive day of brazen shoplifting on Sunday

A group of about 40 to 50 teenage looters wielding hammers smashed glass cases at a Hayward jewelry store and ran off with an unknown amount of goods at around 5.30pm Sunday The suspects also reportedly ran into other stores in the Southland Mall and walked away with clothes and shoes, though police do not know how many items were stolen Just about an hour later, in San Jose, a group of suspects entered a Lululemon store in the outdoor mall at Santana Row and took an unknown amount of merchandise before they fled the scene

The thefts come one day after a group of 80 brazen shoplifters entered a Nordstrom in nearby Walnut Creek Three people were arrested in that incident, in which three employees were injured

And on Friday, a Luis Vuitton store in San Francisco's Union Square was targeted and ransacked by a group of more than a dozen thieves

Residents in the business owners in the area cite a 2014 law that downgraded the theft of property less than $950 in value from a felony charge to a misdemeanor for the rise in thefts They also blame woke San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin for a rise in crime - he now faces a recall election amid fury over his soft-on-crime stance

"...Vote democrat and this is what you get..."

Such a difficult concept to grasp. But I see it all the time. I hear people bitching around this blue state where I live and work about high gas prices, and they talk as if aliens dropped out of the sky and did it. When they aren't blaming it on the evil oil companies. Or Republicans.

and it will not be cheap!

Agreed this is how you won’t have nice things. Also, this may be how you at least cool off the liberal fever raging in the Bay Area. San Francisco and Oakland probably not. But the affluent whites and Asians in Walnut Creek and Contra costa County and San Jose and Santa Clara County may find themselves drawn to a more law and order orientation

How many responding police cars could reach those stores in time? Let’s be generous and say five. And how many looters can each car handle? Let’s say three. Five times three equals 15.

And 40 is way more than 15.

What’s my point? Standard police procedure ain’t gonna work here.

Retail should abandon these woke cities. The downward death spiral of our country is picking up speed. WE need to correct it. IF it’s not too late.

Decriminalize theft. Don’t punish lawbreakers. Shrug off thuggery. That’s because California is so COMPASSIONATE. They’re such better people than the rest of us. I haven’t visited there during this century. Reading about it all from two time zones away seems like a more prudent choice.
