I’m not a vet, 67 yrs w/ long standing Ulcerative Colitis (almost 30yrs). I had a pre-cancerous polyp removed a year ago, in two separate procedures. Numerous benign ones over the years. Having another c-scope next month. It never really is “routine”, is it?

They don’t really want to do colonoscopies on elderly patients. I am 74 and had one about 4 years ago and my doctor said that would be the last one. The chances of tearing the colon etc. would increase. If Brandon has had polyps in the past it maybe would indicate a need for colonoscopies. Or perhaps they are looking for his brain.

I guess it depends. I had my last colonoscopy at 67 and when he was done he said “I’ll see you in 10 years”.

He didn’t find anything besides diverticulosis.
