HUGE: Imminent Vacancy Rumors Swirling on Capitol Hill

Is a high-profile confirmation hearing on Capitol Hill on the horizon? On Tuesday night, Fox News’ Jesse Watters reported that Fox News congressional correspondent Chad Pergram “has been hearing whispers suggesting there could be some new, high-profile confirmation hearings on the horizon in the House of Representatives.”

“Why is this a big deal? Because the House does not confirm normal nominees, but it does confirm vice presidential nominees. Does this have something to do with Kamala Harris?” Watters pondered.

Recent reports have suggested there’s a lot of tension and dysfunction behind the scenes in the White House. Kamala Harris isn’t happy with the role she’s been asked to play and her allies are accusing Biden of racism for favoring Transportation Secretary Buttigieg over her .

“There’s a lot of conjecture right now about the future of VP Harris and her lagging poll numbers,” Pergram told Watters. “As you know, I appreciate Congressional process and mechanics. So I got a message recently from someone who knows Capitol Hill very well, and they suggested that I should familiarize myself with the process to confirm a vacancy for the Vice President in the Senate and in the House.”

PEGRAM WAS QUICK TO CLARIFY THAT “THIS IS NOT SOMETHING TO SAY THAT SOMETHING IS AFOOT HERE, BUT I ALWAYS DO MY HOMEWORK, ESPECIALLY ABOUT PROCESS”

The last vice president to be confirmed by Congress was Norman Rockefeller after Gerald Ford became president following Richard Nixon’s resignation. Ford himself was confirmed by Congress to be Nixon’s vice president when he filled the vacancy left by Vice President Spiro Agnew.

Yes, that was the official reason for forcing Agnew out. But that Maryland kickback scheme happened back in the 1960s. When it became apparent that Nixon was not going to survive (politically), that became a convenient reason to get Agnew out of the way.

We could be seeing the same thing play out with Camel-Toes. She could be getting moved out of the way so that a better successor to Biden can be found.

But Biden/Harris received more votes that anyone in US history.

I know you jest, but... Do NOT forget that Harris dropped out of the primary VERY EARLY because she only could garner 2% of the vote.

She was highly disliked by WOMEN.

Harris is “out” only if she volunteers to step down. I don’t see that happening.

IMO.. Biden and Harris will be removed by an UNEXPECTED EVENT.

Whether it's done simultaneously or individually I think the "string pullers" feel BOTH Biden and Harris have served their purpose and it's time for BOTH to be REMOVED.

Or if she becomes President. Sounds to me like they're thinking about getting rid of the "big guy," and maybe before Congress changes hands next year. If the Republicans do take Congress, isn't the new Speaker of the House next in line to the VP?
