‘It’s a Bloodbath’: Democrats Analyze Glenn Youngkin’s Election Victory

Democrats analyzed Virginia Governor-elect Glenn Youngkin’s election victory over former Democrat Gov. Terry McAuliffe on Tuesday.

NBC and MSNBC’s political analyst Julian Castro suggested Democrats lost because the media was not effectively controlling the “narrative.”

“Youngkin has shown Republicans that they can launder dog whistles through huge unregulated platforms, driving base turnout—even while distancing from Trump,” he said.

Richard Signorelli insinuated the election was lost due to “Trumpism.”

“The only way to defeat Trumpism is to hold him & his accomplices accountable for their federal/state criminality STAT,” he claimed.

Larry Sabato, a professor of Politics at the University of Virginia, told MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow the race turned into a “bloodbath.”

“I will tell you somebody high up in the McAuliffe camp that is there with McAuliffe … put it this way to me,” Sabato said soberly, “It’s a bloodbath”:

After the political defeat, MSNBC’s Joe Reid suggested Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO) is the future of the Democrat Party as demonstrated by her calling President Joe Biden’s reconciliation package “anti-Black, anti-child, anti-woman, and anti-immigrant”:

MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace said Democrats lost because “Critical Race Theory, which isn’t real, turned the suburbs 15 points to the Trump insurrection endorsed Republican.”

Even a state-controlled media can convince only so many.

Correct. For the rest, you use re-education camps and internal secret police forces.

I love the way they say CRT isn't real when it is in our faces every day.

Dude, what did you expect. They claimed AntiFa wasn't real when they were committing arson right in front of us. Remember the flames behind the CNN robot as he claimed it was 'a mostly-peaceful protest'?

They lose an election so they immediately call for censorship and the arrest of their political opponents.

They may have lost this time, but that only means they'll restrict speech even more, try to indict their political opponents and steal more votes next time.

The republic won't be safe until the Democrats are dead, jailed or living in exile.

Or just employers who threaten non-woke employees, CPS to threaten to take your kids away, IRS audits, business licenses & inspections, 'no fly' lists, etc., etc.

The administrative state provides all the tools needed secure a one party state without anything as crude as the NKVD or gulags.

Standard demonRat position... the voters are too stupid and ignorant to make these types of electoral decisions. Anytime the public rejects their positions it is because we are ignorant and incapable of separating truth from fiction.
Typical elitist mentality. They know what's good for us.

When they go full-retard, they double-down on it.

Guess they never heard the "when you're in a hole..." idiom.

Your point is well taken but I think Trump’s outsized personality, bluntness (certainly not a Republican trait), his notable accomplishments and ability to conduct huge rallies is perceived as very threatening to the Dems. I think he is somewhat unique in that he launched a powerful movement similar to the Tea Party. Trump is also a person who commands attention. Bush and all the other clowns the GOP that run for high office simply aren’t in Trump’s league IMO.

That is fine from your point of view.

The left does not see any difference between Trump or Bush.

Look at how they hated Romney and McCain (until they blocked Trump).

My point is that their hatred is stoked every time, regardless of who is the candidate. Trump is just the last one that they were told to hate.

The Left may have hated the others but they had a visceral fear of Trump.

Look at the lengths they went to to attack him non-stop for four years. They even weaponized federal agencies to go after him, his associates and his supporters.

Trump’s successes (which his predecessors could never equal) infuriated the libs. Trump was a do-er, a well know TV personality, master of publicity, drew tremendous crowds and media attention, and was a very successful businessman. Moreover, he did the things he said he was going to do.

Bush, Romney and McCain were but mere clowns who the Dems resented because they were with the wrong party. Trump, on the other hand, was reviled and persecuted like no other before him. It was his bigger than life personality, aggressive style and complete lack of fear that drove the Dems into paroxisms.

Even the GOP feared and resented Trump’s popularity and personality. And many of them still do.

If the Dems just go into denial then next year will be another “bloodbath.”

Sure, if the Democrats get their way. State run media, check. Re-education/death camps and party police are on the to-do list.
