The ad was hilarious, and Trump probably thought the same thing.
The tilt of the ad is, 'President Trump is living rent-free in Fast Terry's head, meanwhile the concerns of real Virginians have gone ignored by Fast Terry's campaign'.
Not just ignored but a McAwful stance against parents rightful influence against what their children are being taught, in Virginia schools! Parents rightfully outraged at their children being sexually assaulted, in Virginia schools!
Those topical ads were already done, this ad was just a very clever 'closer'. Please don't ask me to explain what a 'closing' ad means in a political campaign, I just don't care to explain it and neither do you.
But let's get to your other point - what possible role could Trump have played in VA, other than to mobilize NoVA Libtard (womyn) voters?

We’re all still around I believe. Just not much to assess here. Youngkin is counting on the Soft Dems/Indies in the Blue counties to vote for him. This would never happen for Trump. I would look to the county level results (Loudon, Chesterfield, etc) to see how much better Youngkin did compared to Trump. Ruby red small counties should not see much of a change.

Agree. I was a little worried about him at first, but he is a native Virginian (vs. carpetbagger McAulifee) and I believe is running b/c he sees what is happening to his home state. He’s not a politician, he’s a businessman and it show in the team he has assembled to be election officers, poll watchers and legal resources to address the fraud.
