The name “Charles” does ring a bell. It’s not a “lucky” name, British crown wise. The First: English Civil War, beheaded. The Second: Great Plague and Great Fire of London. Henry, George, Edward, Alfred, even Richard or Canute might have been better choices.

Mr. Prince Sir, can you remember WWII, it was in all the papers? Anyway, the UK could not even defend herself against the Axis and was about to go under before the US joined the fight and sent you men and material to fight to save your sorry ass.
How about the UK go 100% emission free first as a proof of concept before asking the rest of us to freeze in the dark.
No nuclear, no coal, no gas. Park all internal combustion engines. All your energy source must be by wind or solar.
Hint - take a look at China today. They cut off their supply of coal from Australia and now factories are closed, cities are dark, un-employment is high, businesses going bankrupt... all this in less than a year. Premiere Xi must be taking business advise from Biden.
You might also read history and discovered what happened the last time the earth’s temperature rose (it was a good thing).
