Some folks think when someone dies, it’s ‘inappropriate’ to say anything uncomplimentary about them. Why?
We are talking about political policy, not individual personality here. Being a RINO, or fence sitter was Colin’s Brand. At least it was until Obama, then, Colin didn’t even pretend to be impartial anymore.

Why are people upset he was called a RINO? He bailed on the GOP and became an Obama supporter; he was not non-partisan. What is wrong with one (novice) politician (Trump) calling him a RINO? Just because Powell is dead doesn’t change this.
Had Powell remained non-political it would have been different. That would have been understandable but it is not the case.

He could have kept his thoughts to himself...but after what they’ve done to him I can understand him spouting off...even if the timing isn’t so good.

Totally agree - Powel was/is a RINO from way back. I used to admire him, but he showed his true colors during the GWB administration. He started waffling and the final straw was when he supported Obama BECAUSE he was black. Not because he was the best qualified - just due to his skin color. that told me everything I had suspected about Powel for many months. Sorry folks, Powel like McCain was NEVER a hero for America!!!
