The problem is we will (if we haven’t reached it yet) get to a point of no return relatively soon. There will be a day in the not so distant future when the only solution will be akin to elections in Cuba or Saddam’s Iraq. One totalitarian candidate who “receives” 90+% of the votes. We are not there yet (I hope).
The Republican party cares more about their party than they do the citizens.
They can assist the Democrats without my vote.
I will vote for MAGA candidates only, I will never again vote for a Bush League Republican.
The headline plus the above quote from the article makes National Review, Fake News.
Bad advice.Mr President...focus on the future...and the present. The only thing that could cost you a win in ‘24 is obsessing about ‘20.
It’s a shot over the bow of state rinos who aren’t doing anything about the fraud.
As far as national review, those rinos are trying to equate Trump to Lin Wood.
You are right on. Elections are a farce. Whether we vote or not, the results will not be decided by us.
I’m not saying don’t vote. Just that it’s a waste of time and effort. The results are predetermined. Like someone here said, we are screwed either way.
Exactly how do you expect election laws to get fixed if we hand all the state legislatures and governorships even in the states we control to Democrats?? It’s insane.
Ack—I think he is thinking like a businessman, who respond to boycotts.
No!!! We should vote like crazy and make the Dems have to cheat more to overcome us, then it will become obvious!
If GOP voters sit out the elections, the Dems don’t even have to cheat.
He didn’t urge people not to vote…he said if the 2020 problems aren’t addressed, people will stay home. He’s urging Republican lawmakers to do something. NR knows better. This is just gaslighting.
The title is misleading, but the quote is direct from Trump's official website, in it's entirety.
Statement by Donald J. Trump, 45th President of the United States of America
If we don’t solve the Presidential Election Fraud of 2020 (which we have thoroughly and conclusively documented), Republicans will not be voting in ‘22 or ‘24. It is the single most important thing for Republicans to do.I reads like a veiled threat to republicans to quit blocking fraud investigations and get onboard.
“ I support Trump on this and unless the election system is secure I won’t be voting. Let the establishment rot in hell.”

Well, Lin Wood (of “don’t vote, Georgia Republicans” fame) and the National Review thank you.
How about straight from Trump’s own website? https://www.donaldjtrump.com/news/news-vh9rfuemhp0
Isn’t this what Linn Wood said, for the Senate Runoffs in GA?
He was excoriated here, for those that don’t remember. Still is, actually.
I think we should ALWAYS vote. But I think we should fight for making sure our votes have integrity, which is a lot harder than just voting itself.
THIS IS A FABRICATED ARTICLE. NEVER HAPPENED.
I think President Trump is playing 4D chess again.
First of all, election boycotts do not work, for several reasons, and he knows it.
They undermine your own party. They do not change the willingness of dishonest opponents to cheat. If anything, your opponents will redouble their efforts, hoping to create a “blowout” and a resulting “mandate” for them.
They do not motivate those in your party that like you, or dislike you. They come across as political weakness.
Once again, President Trump *knows* these things. So what is he trying to do?
I *guess* he is trying to motivate Republicans to poll watch, a LOT better than they have been, to thwart or at least catch Democrat cheating. Not to leave polls early though the Democrats have said they can go. Be the last people to leave the building, and leave a night watch on the building at night to intercept fake ballot deliveries.
Little things like that.
i get the impression that the national review is attempting to influence the midterm elections...
and i prefer ron desantis serves a full second term as florida governor...
“ This is a very misleading headline. Trump is saying Republicans aren’t going to vote due to election fraud and then saying it’s a very important thing for them to do I.E. TO VOTE He is saying the opposite of the headline! Go vote!…”

Sadly, we have some low-information and gullible folks in our midst who are easily led astray.
What Trump actually said is quoted. He never directed Republicans not to vote. He observed that the Republican politicians in office now should realize that getting Republican voters to turn out for elections when they think they will be cheated, or their votes suppressed, or illegal votes counted to disenfranchise them is unlikely to happen.
But he said it more succinctly than I just did. And he is right.
Republicans in power in states across our nation should be working as hard as they can to reform their election laws to prevent the kind of shenanigans we saw in 2020.
“ Cause we ALL know what record turnout for President Trump did to overwhelm the fraud in 2020, right?
Troll.”
