The teenage gunman who opened fire in an Arlington, Texas, school on Wednesday has been released on bond, a day after pulling a gun from his backpack and shooting a 'bully', a teacher and one other girl.
Timothy George Simpkins was being held on a $75,000 bond on three charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon but the 18-year-old walked out of Tarrant County Jail on Thursday afternoon.
Simpkins said nothing as he strode out of the jail in a blue t-shirt, matching baseball cap worn backwards, and jeans.
It's unclear why he has been charged with aggravated assault and not attempted murder or more serious charges, or why the judge granted him bail.
A video of their fight was posted on social media by Simpkins' cousin on Wednesday night in an effort to prove that he was being bullied.
It shows Simpkins - who was identified by police as wearing a light colored hoodie in the footage - being pummeled by the other boy, who is three years his junior, while holding his hands around his head.
Once the fight was over, he went to his orange backpack, pulled out of his gun and started shooting.
He shot the other boy 'seven to eight times', according to one student who was interviewed by police, and also shot 25-year-old Calvin Pettitt, a teacher who had tried to break up the fight. Pettitt was shot in the back.
Both he and the 15-year-old boy remain in the hospital. Pettitt is expected to survive and is in a good condition but the 15-year-old boy is in critical condition.
A third victim - a teenage girl - suffered a graze wound but is no longer in the hospital.

Not true. The shooter was the guy in the lighter colored shirt who was being pummeled by the larger but younger kid.

The wounded kid’s father may have a problem with him out so soon, so this could turn out to not be over.
Umm, I would assume that the wounded kid hasn’t had contact with his father in over 8-15 years, with the best bet being on the long end of that span. Some groups celebrate February, others celebrate Father’s Day.

It was self defense. The kid was being attacked. He will skate and sue the school district for ignoring the issue.

Not only are there Soros DAs, they also targeted the judiciary and sought through legislatures to end bail entirely. Out free until actually convicted.
This 18 y.o. perp was likely a homosexual. He was being bullied and, remember, now schools can’t kick out bullies because... racism. A larger percentage of black males were kicked out of school than whites so they leave the thugs in the schools and it leads to incidents like this.
The topper though is this Dallas Morning News article picked up by the MSM.

Can you imagine a white kid getting such coverage — gay or not?
They say he was jealous of him because he had money, and he was robbed a couple of times as well. All I can say is that beating wasn’t done because some kid had nice shoes and a nice car.
There was WAY too much anger displayed for it to be just that. Did the shooter taunt him? Was he the kid that felt he was untouchable and said something that enraged the other kid? Everyone says “Oh, he was bullied!” and it’s taken as gospel. I knew kids in school that got their asses handed to them on multiple occasions because of their mouth, hell I smacked one myself one time for it and I to this day think he deserved even more than I gave him for what he said.
All boils down to this - That 18 year old man should have never been released after grabbing a gun in school and shooting another kid multiple times along with a teacher and be given his freedom.
Do the judges and police realize the lesson they are teaching?
A hundred and twenty years ago, this shooter would have been dead within 48 hours after the shooting.
