Users reported having issues accessing Facebook apps like Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, and Facebook itself on the website Downdetector, which tracks outages and issues across various websites and services.
The issues began around 11:45 a.m. ET on Monday, according to user reports on Downdetector. They appeared to affect users in many countries around the world.
In a tweet addressing the outage, Facebook said, "We're aware that some people are having trouble accessing our apps and products. We're working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible, and we apologize for any inconvenience."
Instagram also addressed the outage on Twitter, saying, "Instagram and friends are having a little bit of a hard time right now, and you may be having issues using them. Bear with us, we're on it! #instagramdown"
In a tweet shortly after the surge in outage reports, WhatsApp said, "We're aware that some people are experiencing issues with WhatsApp at the moment. We're working to get things back to normal and will send an update here as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience!"

Just was banned exactly 2 weeks ago from Facebook, Instagram and Messenger systems.
Account was clearly hacked.
Facebook wanted my driver’s license to confirm my identity. Still have not heard a word from them and account to be disabled in 2 weeks.
I am a small business owner and use Facebook/Instagram for company social uses. Time: 10 years or so. Been good for business.
Lost a lot of content with the ban. Basically 10 years of work went poof. Now my website has no social proof. Google won’t like that and I expect to see a ranking drop.
Working now to rebuild the customer groups on Mighty Networks. Cost me $1000 to set up, but it is mine this time.

I think that it is, but FaceBook is so corrosive to the
free expression of views, that I can’t support it.
It gobbles up other enterprises, and then limits the
expressions of views on them too. That isn’t right.
It’s an infringement of our freedom of speech > IMO.
We should be able to express our ideas in public also.
If we’re not doing something illegal, or planning
something illegal, we should be able to say whatever
it is we want to say.
I have an account on FaceBook. I did it to hold my
DoughtyOne persona there, so another person could
use it.
I just don’t go there.
My family thinks it’s be best things since sliced bread.
Not buying it.

Noticed BofA ATM's were down all over, (didn't) miss the news this weekend so didn't know there was a widespread issue until this morning. Perhaps this is all related. (The video is a tad (LOL) hyperbolic.)

I think someone is showing Zucky that he does not have the power he thinks he does.
I’m hoping that eventually FB will be seized from Mark Zuckerburg and turned over to some good guys to run that won’t be spying on and censoring everybody. It would be shame for those who enjoy keeping up with family and friends have it jerked out from under them after all of these years. It’s a lot of fun!
But I LOVE Facebook in terms of keeping up with what my family and friends are doing all over the country.

If I do not have a good enough relationship where I talk to you in person or on the phone regularly, then I don’t need to worry about what you’re doing on your FB page.
The only thing they showed me was a picture I posted 7 years ago of the crucifixion of Jesus. It showed his lower legs and feet. They said it was too violent.

I learned to go in and block the “fact checkers” every few days. I’ve blocked hundreds of them and don’t get censored so much if I am diligent about doing that. I can post the same thing that someone else gets “fact checked” about without any incident, if I am careful. LOL!!
The question would be if this is on purpose .....many re-sets happening around the world on many levels. Much like rolling electrical outages occur. One goes down as soon as another is back up. It would be a way to re-set the world.
I sold on Ebay for 20 years now it’s 99% Facebook. No fees though there is a lot of ghosting. “Hey I will take it” then never hear from them again.

China going to shut everything down including our pipeline grid the minute they invade Taiwan. We will be so wrapped up in our own affairs will not be paying attention to what is happening across the ocean.

Unfortunately our news media is terrible at reporting most things happening abroad. They’re just bad overall here in the states regardless what they’re reporting on.
