Our constitutional crisis is already here....(Donald Trump will be the Rep. candidate for president in 2024)
Washington Post ^ | 9/23/2021 | James Madison

Posted on 09/24/2021 10:53:17 PM PDT by caww

The US is heading into its greatest political and constitutional crisis since the Civil War, with a reasonable chance over the next three to four years of incidents of mass violence, a breakdown of federal authority, and the division of the country into warring red and blue enclaves.... The warning signs may be obscured by the distractions of politics, the pandemic, the economy and global crises, and by wishful thinking and denial. But about these things there should be no doubt:

First, Trump will be the Rep. candidate for president in 2024...He enjoys mammoth leads in the polls; he is building a massive campaign war chest. Barring health problems, he is running.

Second, Trump and his Rep. allies are preparing to ensure his victory by whatever means necessary...

... in 14 months if, as seems likely, the Rep. zombie party wins control of the House. At that point, with the political winds clearly blowing in his favor, Trump is all but certain to announce his candidacy, and social media constraints on his speech are likely to be lifted, since Facebook and Twitter would have a hard time justifying censoring his campaign. With his megaphone back, Trump would again dominate news, as outlets prove unable to resist covering him around the clock if only for financial reasons.

But this time, Trump would have advantages lacked in 2016 and 2020, including more loyal officials in state and local governments; the Republicans in Congress; and the backing of GOP donors, think tanks and journals of opinion. And he will have the Trump movement, including many who are armed and ready to be activated, again. Who is going to stop him then? On its current trajectory, the 2024 Republican Party will make the 2020 Republican Party seem positively defiant.

What condescending, patronizing, paranoid and hate-filled blather from this author.

True, but zhe got the below right:

But their bond with Trump has little to do with economics or other material concerns. They believe the U.S. government and society have been captured by socialists, minority groups and sexual deviants. They see the Republican Party establishment as corrupt and weak — “losers,” to use Trump’s word, unable to challenge the reigning liberal hegemony. They view Trump as strong and defiant, willing to take on the establishment, Democrats, RINOs, liberal media, antifa, the Squad, Big Tech and the “Mitch McConnell Republicans.”

We fought a civil war over 2 million souls in slavery, luzing 600k Americans over it. Now we have 60 million lost souls to this dreadful practice of sacrificing to the Moloch god of convenience.

We also have 30 million indentured servants.

I can see it coming. After Biden’s messy term, however long that lasts, the Dems will have a younger team running (e.g., Kamala and Michelle) and the lesson the squishy middle will take from Biden is not to re-elect someone as old as Trump.

We’re done.

Eh, I agree but the fact that the government is captured by socialists includes all of these things; economics, free traitors, fringe psychos, etc.

What needs to happen is not only a win but a commitment that those who are responsible for this coup and corruption on all levels is prosecuted and jailed. A commission needs to be set up to do this on day one with quick and relentless outcomes. Its not just about winning

Its already here...and has been upon us for 10 months..

The American Communist Revolution was 11/04/20

The consequence is an absence of functional Federal American government. We the People create the government by means of our votes through the elections process. When both the elections process is corrupted, as well as the voting process, ONLY WE THE PEOPLE can correct that. There IS NO government entity that can possibly do so.

Essentially there is no functioning Federal government in place in the USA today-hence the dysfunction that characterizes Washington DC and Fed.gov presently.

The establishment left never accepted Trump’s victory in 2016, and hounded and vilified the man from Day Zero. A second term will be all that on steroids.

*****************

If they make enough noise, they become easier to find. Then we can add them to the “Naughty” list of lefties.

I’m more curious about just who is “… armed and ready to be activated, again…” in the Trump organization. I don’t think Mr. Trump fully understood just what kind of civilian army he had at his fingertips, awaiting his order to muster. The Dems keep them throwing around the word “insurrection” over the January 6 kerfuffle, without a clue what a real one would look like.

——by whatever means necessary-—

Well, the time for that is passed

Trump lost because as President he refused to fight. He refused to use whatecer means were necessary to maintain the status quo. He hoped to make a deal, what he does or thinks he does best. He lost.

He refused, consciously refused, to fight, to use whatever means necessary. He lost

Good guys finish last
