Newsom touts victory over recall as rejection of 'Trumpism'

California Gov. Gavin Newsom took a victory lap on Tuesday after voters rejected an effort to recall him from the governor’s mansion, casting his win as a rejection of “the negativity that’s defined our politics in this country over the course of so many years.”

In remarks delivered in Sacramento minutes after he was declared the winner of the recall election, Newsom said that with his victory, Californians had voted to safeguard democracy, taking a swipe at his main Republican opponent, conservative radio host Larry Elder, and former President Donald Trump, who had raised baseless claims of fraud ahead of the Tuesday vote.

“Democracy is not football. You don’t throw it around,” Newsom said. “It’s more like an antique vase. You can drop it and smash it in a million different pieces. And that’s what we’re capable of doing if we don’t stand up and push back.”

the Californian Democrat Socialist party

In a few decades the notion of Red states and Blue states will be obvious and commonplace and it will have much more impact on where people live and work. We will witness the greatest migration since the mid 1800's.

For Democrats it is either the TRUMP card, global warming card, COVID card and the never failed race card. EVERYTIME.

Expect now for the MSM to blab about how much money the Republicans wasted on the recall.

Already seen this in the local Pravda.

I fully expect Newsom to crack down on the state with mandates in the next few days.

To the victor goes the spoils, the residents voted for him.

what's more revealing is that the Dems spent something like 5x what the Republicans spent just to retain the seat in a 2-1 sate. It's the Dems who actually wasted the money.

Ha!! “(When The Ballot Box No Longer Counts, The Ammunition Box Does. (What’s In Your Ammo Box?))”

Not enough ammo, that’s for sure. I’ve been bugging my roommate, Mr K, to go shoot with a work buddy of his to gain some experience with firearms - he’s very uncertain handling a gun. His buddy goes to the range all the time with his daughter. So finally Mr K got around to asking his friend if he could tag along the next time his work friend goes to the range; the guy said, “Aw, man, I stopped going - my daughter shoots up box after box of ammo, and I’m SAVING MY AMMO!”

Also, let me note that Nebraska is dead last on the list of “states that get lots of vacationers.” Kansas is very low on the list, too. I’ve also started a list of counties in various states that with populations of less than 2000.

A lot of people say “move to Montana” or Idaho or whatever but winters are hella brutal there. I would just camp there in the summer and live the rest of the year in NB or KS - or Texas. (If you stay on the move you don’t have to make up your mind!)

The problem is that a substantial number of Californians voted for liberty.

Blaming the victims is really bad karma—don’t go there.

We will witness the greatest migration since the mid 1800's.

I believe it has been happening for a while.

Three of my neighbors moved over the summer - one said he could work from anywhere but his wife couldn't and the price of gas was eating them alive. They moved to Texas - another neighbor as well. Both hard-core conservatives, one of whom flew a huge Trump banner from his home - in a deep blue area.

Third neighbor moved to Idaho - conservative as well.

When I walk my dogs, I'm shocked at how many homes are for sale in my neighborhood.

When Newsom signs the two bills over-riding ALL local zoning laws, allowing up to four residences on each single-home property, the developers will swoop in and grab up these properties.

It’s rich commie Dems whining about “negativity”.

Their whole PURPOSE is negativity…and hatred. Hatred of this country and negative on anything with it.

I believe it has been happening for a while.

It has, but it will become more pronounced. The split in our country is irreparable as the media and Dems will always throw gas on it and divide people, it is inevitable that people will tire of it and migrate to a more appealing state.

With that tiny edit, I completely agree with Gavin Nuisance.

GOP in CA should focus on how to turn out working class and voter integrity. Voter integrity will require project Veritas type activities and persistence. Working class turn out will require GOP leaders getting outreach to farm country and hopefully finding a candidate from there.
