Hadley Hitson, Montgomery Advertiser Fri, September 10, 2021, 6:30 PM·1 min read The family of a man who died of heart issues in Mississippi is asking people to get vaccinated for COVID-19 after 43 hospitals across three states were unable to accept him because of full cardiac ICUs.
Ray Martin DeMonia died last week in Meridian, Mississippi. He was three days shy of his 74th birthday and a well-known native in Cullman, Alabama, his family said.
DeMonia suffered from a cardiac event, and emergency staff at Cullman Regional Medical Center had to bring him to the nearest available bed, which was nearly 200 miles away at a Mississippi hospital.

Fake News. How could a person go to 43 hospitals and get turned down without dying then die? Fake news look at the source.
Well I believe the story. My friend’s brother had to wait five weeks to get a cardiac stent placed during the first phase of the pandemic last year. This was a major Ohio Hospital that refused to do his stent.
Forty-three hospitals and none could take him? I find it hard to believe.
Not true. No beds are closed at the hospital here. ICU is full with cases spread out into conference rooms (see my last comment). The nurses per ICU bed rules have been waived because of critical conditions. And finally, to close out your untruths, all elective surgeries have been postponed — not a factor.
“43 Hospitals turned him away? Not believing.”
yep, complete bullshit ...
I imagine there’s some sort of continuously updating list online that shows capacity for area hospitals. They look it up and see what’s available.
But however it transpired that 43 hospitals rejectected the deceased for care, I agree that it’s BS on its face.
It’s all about narrative - the truth is irrelevant to these people. “It’s just a cold”, after all.
DH had a sudden cardiac event 2 years ago almost; 3 day stay for stent $120K just hospital, doctors and followup extra (medicare covered). As posted above, ICU covid intubated +96 hours pays about 1/3 that.
This is what happens when you tell people there is nothing they can do for COVID except get vaccinated. I am certain a percentage of those in ICU would not be there had preventative and early treatment been made available to them.
I don’t believe this story.
“Sad report but I would like to know what the 43 hospitals were. I smell horse manure......”
****
I SMELL BS too. My GF is an RN here in Hollywood and all hospitals are overrun by illegals for the past 10 years. There is NO WAY that 43 hospitals statistically, turn away one man without even the minimum medication.
If this were Canada were Im from where they LITERALLY leave you at the entrance if you dont pay your govt monthly dues (it’s a socialist system) then yes but not even in Biden’s Amerika. Totally nonsense.
Bidens gotta get tough so the numbers will fall off and the Dems can claim victory.
Helps to read the article. Now go look up MS hospital stuff since you're so energetic.
On the respiratory beds we were told one nurse per two patients. It has to be a nurse issue not a bed issue. They seem to have enough respirators (remember flatten the curve).
I call BS.
Due to reports that families are being paid off not to mention or report vaccine deaths, we can assume he was indeed vaccinated. Otherwise they would have said he was unvaxxed, for sure. Probably Pfizer 2nd jab heart myocarditis until proven otherwise. The rest of the story is bull$hit.
Illegals.
No, three’s no credibility to this claim.
hospitals run with ICUs near max at all time in order to minimize waste.
they also have the ability to increase the number of beds in ICU if need be
a 74 yr old patient gets very little respect in the commie world... as his main tax contribution years are behind him. this is the main issue with socialized medicine.
