Let's make them go broke...
Just when you thought corporate wokeness couldn’t get any worse, it does. General Michael Flynn announced in his Telegram channel today that he received a letter from Chase Bank informing him they know longer want his business.
Here’s what Chase sent him:
Gen. Flynn posted this in his Telegram channel after receiving the word Chase no longer wanted his business. The letter stated:
Update: We are closing your credit cards
After careful consideration, we decided to close your credit cards on September 18, 2021 because continuing the relationship creates possible reputational risk to our company.
Flynn responded via Telegram, “Chase Bank has gone full blown woke! They need to deal with their own reputation instead of persecuting my family and I. DOJ dropped my case for their own egregious government misconduct, appears you weren’t that lucky with the DOJ. I guess my America First political views don’t align with yours. Your loss ”
Welcome to Biden’s America, where a highly decorated and retired 3-star general is deemed by the corporate elite to be a “reputational risk” by wokesters who are more concerned with promoting Marxist BLM ideology, CRT, and anything else that will help the Democrat party stay in power.
Has anyone asked Flynn whether it’s true?????
Todd Starnes wrote about this a couple of days ago on his facebook page
If you could get enough like minded folks on the same page, cancel/close all active Chase credit card accounts and let the stupid burn.
He is such a big borrower, that I am sure he can use his influence at a bank to do so.
I have a Chase card that gives me 2% to 5% back on all purchases. Before the statement even comes out, I pay the entire balance so in 4 or 5 years I've never paid them one dime of interest. At the end of the year I cash in my bonus money and use it on Christmas. It usually is enough for about 1/2 my spending and I cost them money rather than the other way around.
Show your support freepers. Cancel you Chase...everything.
Agreed. This is a political targeting and isn't even credit related. Unless Flynn was actively bashing Chase publicly, nobody would know he had a CC account there.
That IS your money. You just let them use it for a year without interest....................
How do you figure? I keep no monied accounts with Chase only this credit card.
You pay X dollars for an item with your card.
Chase gives the merchant X-8% for the use of the card.
At the end of the year, Chase gives you 5% back, keeps the 3% difference and you think that you have cost THEM money?....................
Well actually I stick to 5% items 95% of the time, but regardless - I would still be paying X dollars no matter what payment I tendered. It never was my money. If you are arguing that ripping every credit card and debit card in the world would reduce prices, ok I guess I will concede that - but it sure would be inconvenient.
The merchant doesn’t get 100% of what you pay. Chase makes deals with the individual merchants or their proxies on what percentage they get to keep. It varies, even on individual items, some more, some less, some even zero.................
Yes, got it.
But my point is I still pay 100% regardless of my payment method. At least the way I conduct it I reap more of the benefit than the credit card company. They have not made their points from the merchant as well as money from me. AND I have that money back in my pocket to spend wherever I like.
Agreed! This bank stinks
Haven’t there been a couple other high profile right-wing individuals within the last few years who have had their credit cards cancelled, including one whose family members also lost their cards? Anyone remember their names?
Trumps?...................
Chase Bank does about-face, apologizes for Gen. Flynn credit card cancellation letter, says it ‘made an error’
It was good to have a little good news for a change. I do not believe that Chase cancelled the general’s wife’s card inadvertently however. IMO whoever cancelled the card did not expect so much push-back.
So, someone else, maybe youtube personalities or political pundits.
