Looking to blunt bipartisan criticism of President Biden’s handling of the evacuation from Afghanistan and soothe public worries, his administration has started sharing numbers from what he has called “an incredible operation.”
They’ve given the number of military flights and types of aircraft, number of flights by American allies and partners, and the total number of people evacuated since the U.S. military started operating out of the airport in Kabul Aug. 14.

On Monday, the administration told Congress it had evacuated an estimated 4,000 Americans since Aug. 14, according to congressional sources.
Administration officials did not dispute that number, but didn’t confirm it on the record. On Saturday, the Pentagon had placed that figure at 2,500.

The United States just suffered the GREATEST military defeat of our LIFETIMES, far worse than in Vietnam, because North Vietnam just wanted us out, but had no intention of carrying the war to our shores, in a messianic crusade. And we did not leave THOUSANDS of Americans behind in Vietnam, as Benedict Biden has done in Afghanistan. Benedict will not be able to stop their infiltration amongst the refugees, or across our open southern border.
Wonder how many would vote Republican upon return to USA?

Biden believes after a few weeks this will all be forgotten in the fog and haze of a 5 trillion dollar spending bonanza with gifts for every American. In the meantime the Afghanistan evacuation will be touted as the greatest military exercise in history by only presenting total numbers of humans evacuated - not Americans. Biden will be celebrated by the media as the potus that finally had the ballz to end the 20 year war.
As American hostages start getting burned alive and beheaded, the media will do everything in it’s power to hide the videos and deflect.
When the first resulting terrorist attack occurs from this, the media will claim a terrorist named Ahmed Hussein Sadam is actually a white supremist from Possum Run, Arkansas.
As Rush use to say, “the left is so predictable”
I hardly think it will be considered a success when many international leaders are on the record as calling Joe incompetent.
The American media can try. But the international media will not. and the web is forever. Even the DS can’t hide from this.
None of it is repeated in the American media. For example, the German press is reporting that US soldiers forced foreign journalists onto a plane to Qatar.
As far as most Americans go, none of this criticism exists. The American media are as hermetically sealed propaganda instruments as were Pravda and Izvestia in the old days.
Well fortunately Democrat and Republican alike don’t see it that way from my perspective.

I flew into and out of Afghanistan on C17s several times.
I would say that they hold 300-400 people max in regular seating.
So, to get 20k people out in one day would require at LEAST 50 flights.
No way.
And wasn’t there a story the other day that a flight of a dozen or so C17s went thru Kabul. The first had about 300 passengers, and the rest only had about 100 each.
So 20K passengers in a day? BS!
If you’ve been listening to Glen Beck, you know that the State Department has been slow walking the paperwork to allow people to leave. So painfully few have made it out on the private planes.
