Afghanistan: Desperate women throw babies over razor wire at compound, asking British soldiers to take them
sky news ^ | Stuart Ramsay

You can hear a noise as you approach the high iron gates that are the only way into the compound that is the centre of the British airlift operation out of Afghanistan.

On either side of a narrow road, inside the walls of the compound at Kabul airport, exhausted British soldiers lie in the shade waiting for their turn to head back outside into the burning sun and the chaos once again.

Thousands of people are flooding towards this innocuous place that will, for some, be the gateway to freedom - and for many others, the end of a dream of escaping the Taliban.

After two decades this is what it has come down to. A hasty retreat, a civilian evacuation... with the Taliban watching on.

As every day passes this relief operation gets more and more urgent and desperate, as the British military tries to move thousands of people out of Afghanistan in just days.

It's a humanitarian mission in what feels like a war zone.

A makeshift barricade is all that separates two armies who have fought for 20 years.

The Taliban are just one metre away from the British soldiers - it's a picture I never thought I would see...

The same people who tried to morally blackmail you into supporting a failed Forever War in Afghanistan—the ones who declared that you were either on board with the new international interventionist imperative or you were with the terrorists—are now trying to morally blackmail you into supporting open borders with Afghanistan and every other country that America’s incompetent elites thought they could turn into Stepford if only they invaded it hard enough. In truth, the entire foundation of the Washington establishment’s failed foreign policy is its members’ own feelings of guilt.

Anyone missing me, yet?

Arguments can be made about the US policy to pull out - there is a strong feeling that US involvement couldn't continue ad infinitum. But the manner of the withdrawal has been hapless, with a mass of miscalculation, warnings ignored, and - critically - a wild over-estimation of the capability of the American-trained Afghan armed forces.

The policy may have been framed by Donald Trump when he was president, but Joe Biden owns this unfolding chaos.

Anyone missing me, yet?

My first thought was for those poor babies who get thrown over the fence and just fall to the ground like broken dolls. The whole scene is one of hysteria, terror and desperation. So far outside of my own experience I can’t get imagine it. I’ve never been in that kind of immiment danger, nothing even close to it.

Escaping from the religion of peace? What is wrong with these moms, throwing their kids onto barbwire instead of embracing the Islamic Cult? /s

As heartbreaking as this article is, we can’t make emotional decisions. Every tribe, every people, every culture and every country is obliged to create a safe and moral environment for it’s humanity to inhabit; it cannot be done by others for their benefit. And the cost of failure in this endeavor is horrendous.

Even if the withdrawal was perfect. The taliban was/is still gonna do bad stuff. This just sped up everything. The entire dilemma was that the US was negotiating with the Taliban. They had already conceded the cult would take over.

The drama on tv is merely to create more sympathy to bring in more refugees from around the world. The drum beat of more people from south and Central America escaping terror, the starving african, etc etc. Open border lovers love this stuff.

But how can we open foreign countries to US markets without conquest?”

How can we gain access to foreign-claimed resources without conquest?

How can we foist Leftist ideology on the world without conquest?

How can we justify ludicrous amounts of “defense” spending without counquest?

I don’t beleive you’re really thinking this through! /s

I can’t imagine the psychological toll this has and will have in future on the soldiers there.

196 MILLION Americans are scared stiff of covid. Why else would they voluntarily get jabbed with an experimental vaccine? 196 million is almost 3 times Trump voters in 2020.

If only PDJT had said “I feel your pain” at every rally, instead of “covid will die away when hot weather arrives in summer”, he would be re-elected with a massive landslide.
