Richards was fine and he is not out there proclaiming allegiance to leftism.
That right there is a perfect replacement.

“Mayim Bialik of “Big Bang Theory” will host “Jeopardy!” primetime...”
Another show I used to watch that I will now avoid.

Jeopardy without Alex is like the Honeymooners without Norton.

I thought Richards was okay, but he was not my favorite of the guest hosts. I like Buzzy Cohen, Sanjay Gupta, Mayim Bialik and last week’s host David Faber. In any case, Levar Burton was in a distant last place for me. Thank goodness they did make an affirmative action pick with him.

You have but a couple of hours to familiarize yourself with the clues My understanding is that all of Trebek's verbal readings of clues had been pre-recorded. All he had to do was watch the game unfold, push buttons, and make appropriate comments.
I'm not sure if guest hosts were permitted that luxury.

I thought Ted Allen, the host of “Chopped” on The Food Network, had the perfect demeanor for the job.

Oh, I'm sure they've got a checklist for his replacement.

Praising Alex Trebeck has replaced having a book shelf full of classical literature that you never read. This entire publicity stunt has more people talking about Trebeck's replacement than all the talk about Howard Cossell's replacement, or Dandy Don Meridith.
It's a game show, folks.

Mike Richards as Jeopardy host is like watching a car salesman. Icky. Even Anderson Cooper was better than him.

There is another solution here. Take every episode Trebeck ever did and program into a computer with AI. Then use a Holographic Computer system and program and there you have it, Alex is back..

Sometimes things are not “replaceable”. Amazing how they are trying to “replace” Rush Limbaugh. Get over it, those guys are one-of-a-kind.
