“Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) says her father, former Vice President Dick Cheney, is “deeply troubled” by the current Republican Party that has steered away from her family’s brand of neoconservatism toward a populist-nationalist vision.
During an Aspen Institute panel discussion alongside former Google CEO Eric Schmidt, Cheney said her father is displeased with the state of the Republican Party following former President Trump’s term in the White House.”

LMAO!
“Average GOPe today is less conservatives than sam nunn or zell Miller or sonny Montgomery and Dan moynihan and so on....it’s pitiful”
Jeane Kirkpatrick. And Sam Stratton of upstate New York was another conservative Democrat who ought to be on that list. Sonny Montgomery was a personal friend of my father. Montgomery and Stratton both vets, both looked out for the military.
“After I learned of the Project for a New American Century l knew Cheney was a terrible person.”
Bill Kristol created PNAC. They sent a letter to Clinton in 1998 urging him to go to war against Saddam Hussein. Clinton didn’t take the bait. Read the signatories on that letter and you’ll see the names that filled the GW Bush administration.
Dixy Lee Ray was another. Chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission and Governor of Washington State.
Agreed. I despise the Bush family now. Shame on all of them...and shame on me for believing in them.
Bingo, you’re right. Immediately after 9/11, the PNAC boys threw their middle East war blueprint on the Oval desk and watched the conflagration from the safety of their livings room. At the time I’m glad I raised the alarm about them, and only now is the mess they created fully realized.
My thoughts exactly. I find it very telling that Dick Cheney hasn't lifted a finger to defend his little girl during this ENTIRE fiasco. He won't utter a peep, even though he's a "elder party statesman" and his influence could have swayed many party insiders to have second thoughts about kicking his little girl out as Conference Chairman, for example.
Why do think dear ol' dad is doing that, Liz? He had NO PROBLEMS openly speaking his mind in the past.
I'd be very interested to see a reporter put her on the spot and get a response from her on that one!
Daddy says, daddy says…. Just don’t go hunting with him. If you are so pathetic that you shoot other people your hunting with, I can write anything they think or say off as stupid. Apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Bumn Ditch.
Then leave, Lez! Go back to Neuschwabenland, or whatever Boys from Brazil laboratory from which you were cloned.
LOL.

He may be doddering by this point.
. I do think Dick Cheney would have no problem making a statement about Princess IF he felt inclined to do so. He did issue one just recently when Donald Rumsfeld died.
My gut feeling is he knows she's buried herself in a hole and keeps on digging.
“the current Republican Party that has steered away from her family’s brand of neoconservatism toward a populist-nationalist vision.”
Not sure that is the case. Trump makes a lot of noise but he is only one guy and currently has little power. Most Republicans don’t seem that populist or nationalist to me.
What’s wrong with “populist/nationalist”
Loving your country used to be very popular...and so is wanting the best for your country ABOVE other countries!
We help the whole world. What would they do if we go down the crapper?
