Somewhere near Cozumel in the Caribbean Sea, there’s a cruise ship that had zero unvaccinated people aboard but that still suffered an outbreak of Covid-19. This goes against the narrative that the reason for “breakthrough cases” is due to too many unvaccinated people mingling with those who have taken the experimental injections.
The Carnival Vista, which departed from Galveston, Texas, on July 31, has issued strict face mask protocols and ordered infected people aboard into isolation. Mainstream media is already busy blowing it off while the cruise company is patting itself on the back for reacting to swiftly.
In a statement to FOX 26, Carnival said, “We have implemented our new fleetwide mask policy early on Carnival Vista, given that we are managing a small number of positive cases on board. Our pre-established protocols of vaccinated guests and crew, testing, enhanced medical capabilities and contact tracing anticipated the potential for positive cases, and they are designed to adapt to various scenarios. We have identified and tested close contacts and anyone who tested positive is in isolation. The decision to implement the mask policy was made in an abundance of caution, given our focus on the health and safety of our guests and crew. The voyage will continue as planned and we are dedicated to continuing to provide our guests with a fun and safe vacation. We appreciate the support of our Carnival Vista guests, who have been extremely supportive as we implemented the policy Wednesday evening.”
Notice how they call it a “small number of positive cases” while giving no indication of what “small” means to them. Is it 2? 10? 50? Considering the massive ship can hold over 4,000 people, “small” could mean anything. Every mainstream story we’ve seen this morning has blindly accepted and even highlighted the phrase “small number” without inquiry into exact numbers. This is not journalism. It’s narrative-building.
Ever since it became clear the “vaccines” seem to have little to no stopping power when it comes to Delta Variant infections, the White House, CDC, and mainstream media have attempted to paint the spike in “breakthrough cases” as a result of those dastardly unvaccinated. But nobody aboard the Carnival Delta is unvaccinated, a fact that everybody at Carnival and the media is conspicuously ignoring.
If unvaccinated people in close quarters had caused an outbreak of Covid-19, media would be screaming about it with exact numbers and obligatory scolding. On a ship with no unvaccinated people, outbreak details are kept intentionally ambiguous.

RT-PCR testing triggers based on a nucleotide sequence which is unique to the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Influenza isn’t even remotely related to SARS-CoV-2. They’re as closely related as humans are to snails: not even in the same phylum. So the idea that a test couldn’t distinguish between them is laughable. You’re misunderstanding the EUA announcement from the CDC. What they said was they want one test that looks for multiple possible causes for someone that has symptoms which could potentially be any one of several things. In other words, if you do have the flu, going to get a COVID-19 test today is worthless because all you get is a “no, you don’t have COVID”. What CDC has said is that testing should be able to tell that person “no, you don’t have COVID, what you DO have is the flu, so go get treatment for that.”
In terms of distinguishing variants, that can only be done by whole genome sequencing. An individual who tests positive for SARS-CoV-2 doesn’t know which variant it is. Random selections of positive specimens are sent for whole genome sequencing where the specific variant is determined so that the spread and distribution of variants can be tracked around the country. Whole genome sequencing is expensive (about $130 per test when done at bulk rates) and very time consuming. There are insufficient funds and resources to do it for everyone. That’s why you don’t know which variant you have if you come up positive. You just get a positive or negative result from an RT-PCR test.
The problem is that the leading test used to detect Covid over the past year is now known to have had up to a 90% false positive rate. So a lot of “Covid cases” were actually the flu or something else. These people have no natural immunity even though they were told that they had Covid.
There are a growing number of doctors calling this the PCR pandemic because of the complete bungling of the testing.
Also, the massive mishandling of patients, particularly the elderly, seems to have created a lot of the deaths. Often you see two countries that share a border, one had large numbers of excess deaths, the other had none.
We have a very rare situation where the two of us agree. You are correct that the COVID tests have largely been worthless. But of course not even remotely because of the reason you have just stated. People were not told “no, you don't have COVID” when they had the flu. As you are well aware millions of people who had the flu were told over the last year that they had Covid due to a false positive rate approaching or exceeding 90% in some of the most commonly used Covid tests.
Never saw that coming.

You tell me how many cases of smallpox, polio, tb, yellow fever we see in the United States each year after vaccination. And then you tell me WHY we have those numbers (or lack there of).

When looking at stories, or data, keep in mind the timeframe. Is the data they are sharing/reporting regarding the entire vaccination timeline (from Jan)? Or, is it what's happening recently, in the last week or last month? The following are about the current surge.

If Delta truly is R1.4, and "several positive cases" were detected at the halfway point at Cozumel, then the number of Delta infected by now is approaching at least 2 dozen.
And then Bobo's Silverback Birthday bash featuring 700+ worthless celebs in Nantucket is the very next day!
No I think the new thing will be corporatism will try to shift their #Narrative to 'undervaccinated' ... watch Carnival blame it on some of the galley workers and chambermaids who likely got Sinovax.
