Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker announced some "big news" on Monday. He's running for re-election.
"We’ve been through a lot," Pritzker wrote in a tweet, "and I’ve been so proud to see Illinoisans come together during the toughest of times."
Pritzker said he's "excited to fight for the state I love" alongside Lieutenant Governor Juliana Stratton, "and there’s no limit to what we can do going forward."

I can understand under the excitement of the new campaign and all, but I think he meant to say that he’s “excited to fight those fascist conservatives in the state whom he hates.”

True - but there was a time when a good GOP turnout in the collar counties (DuPage, Henry, etc) could offset the Dem advantage in Cook County. But those counties, like so many other suburban counties, have started trending blue.
