You can’t punish the children because of First Amendment activities of their parents. Time to sue in a federal court.
Also, what the school did is a breach of contract with the family/parents acting as “contractors” for services to be performed for the betterment of their children.
Sue in state court for “breach of contract”, “child abuse” (depriving them of a paid-for education - FULL REFUND PLUS LEGAL FEES and PUNITIVE FEES for loss of paid-for education time).
I knew that Columbus had become a leftist/crime shithole in the past 20 years so this is just further proof of that.
Somebody was prescient about Columbus when they made the move “Goodbye Columbus” about 1969.

I was thinking the same thing. You’d be far better homeschooling your kid or private teacher (pool your money among the 3-4 kids).

Yes. The Academy was the cherry on top of the sundae, when I lived in Columbus back in the day. They moved from Bexley and they have gone downhill ever since. I’m sad to read this story. But why did they ever appoint a radical lesbian (and lesbians mostly really hate men) to Headmaster of the most elite school for BOYS in Columbus??? How is CSG doing these days? The same as The Academy?

Good question and this might be the answer. Les Wexner’s children attended CA, and he has been their largest contributor, not only because his kids went to academy but because of his development of New Albany, not to mention his wife is a liberal. We all know very well why the Bexley crowd moved to New Albany and why CA went co-ed and that is because Bexley was getting darker and darker. Columbus was encroaching on their territory, crime was rising, property values falling and they wanted out. That is irony of this Academy stance on CRT and they need to be exposed.
I didn’t realize that Bexley has been changing. It was a terrific education. It rivaled The Academy and CSG, back in the day. I still have friends who live there but yes, many have become hard Leftists. More’s the pity.
Here is the thing....
There are big beautiful houses in several areas of Columbus that wealthy people like to live in but they don’t want to send their kids to Columbus schools. These people don’t want to move out to the suburb with all of the new-rich hillbillies and foreigners. Therefor, they pay the $30K for ability to live in 100 year old, 6000 sq ft mansions, and allow their kids to be protected from the inner city scum and the suburban “hillbillies” while being able to rub elbows with other ultra rich, old money liberals.
Who you know is more valuable than what you know. These parents are no dummies and realize that as long as they can get their kids into the right circles, they will own your kids some day.
We will never vote for another school bond of any kind. Tax increase. Nothing

It’s a private school. The parents were dumb to send their kids to a place with that kind of leadership. Switch schools. Take your money elsewhere.
The day will come when universities will refuse to admit students unless they graduate from an “approved” Private school.
