PENSACOLA, Fla. (AP) — A star Florida high school quarterback playing for a Georgia university died after more than 50 gunshots were fired into the car he was driving.

Ladarius Clardy, 18, was found dead with several gunshot wounds before dawn Thursday after the vehicle he was driving crashed at a Pensacola intersection. Local news outlets report an unnamed 19-year-old passenger underwent surgery for gunshot wounds Thursday at a Pensacola hospital. The passenger’s condition was unknown early Friday.

Clardy was attending Kennesaw State University in suburban Atlanta, where he had played in several games.

Clardy’s father is a longtime youth football coach in the Florida panhandle city. His son was also remembered as a strong student and peer leader.

“He had it all,” former Pine Forest head coach Jason McDonald told the News Journal. “From elementary to middle and high school, you couldn’t say enough about him. Great kid in the classroom, hard-worker. He was a natural-born leader.”

So you think it is just a coinkidink that he has over a thousand bucks of ink on his arm and he gets executed? Maybe his freshman year in college away from home he got real educated.Notice he didn’t have any ink on him in high school. Not everybody who has tattoos are criminals but most criminals or gang members sure do.

“No sir, killing a gang member in this State is an 18-dollar fine, you can mail it in.”

Thus sayeth Jarhead9297:Ink means nothing.

If it means nothing then why bother? Why display someone else's artwork on your body? Please explain this to me because I'm, to be very honest, stupid.

“He’s my favorite quarterback of all time,” Pine Forest teammate and current University of Alabama at Birmingham football player Dacarrion McWilliams told the Pensacola News Journal.

"noun: carrion: the decaying flesh of dead animals."

The mind boggles.

I’ve always wondered where these names come from.

Ink means nothing with respect to someone’s perpensity to commit crime. If that were the case you’d have millions of criminals shooting up each other daily. I love my ink. It signifies my own personal achievements in the Corps.

Is it safe to go to Florida this summer? It’s been a few years and I’d like to go. Sort of a bucket list thing to do. But I don’t want to kick it down there.

Depends on the kind of ink.

Ink means nothing...

I respectfully disagree. If you had a really great car that you cared for very much, would you put bumper stickers on it that never come off? No, it would be a poor decision to do that. Having ink is an indicator of poor decision making.

That’s good as it helps defray the cost of ammo.

Just like everywhere else, if you’re not black and you stay away from black people there’s a 99.9% chance you’ll be fine.

There’s no politician in office with the stones to have a war to break up the gangs and outlaw them. In summer the inner city kids should have jobs, summer school etc... No idle youths. All others enrolled in ROTC or community projects, clean ups, etc... The liar leftists would holler ‘racism’ and ‘exploiting minority kids’ and other foams at the mouth but in reality these would build character and keep these kids out of dangerous trouble.
It’s past time for some tough love put to action.

WTF was this "good kid" involved in that was worthy of 50 freakin' shots aimed at him?

Well, this was after a wreck. Maybe road rage involved in the wreck and subsequent shooting. Just a guess.

He said it's an $18 fine not an $18 bounty. Making it a bounty instead would, of course, solve a lot of problems.
