ROCK HILL, S.C. — Someone shot a video on Wednesday afternoon that showed two brothers getting arrested during a struggle with police officers at a Rock Hill gas station.
About 100 people took to the streets in protest blocking the intersection of Dave Lyle Blvd and Black Street for several hours. They walked to the police department and at about 11 p.m. lit a fire surrounding a tree in front of the station. A police officer and the fire department arrived after the fire was lit.
Our crews could see objects being thrown at the police officer. Police in riot gear entered the scene after that.
The video of the arrests posted on Facebook had more than 87,000 views, 2,100 reactions and 230 comments Thursday morning.
The Rock Hill Police Department Violent Crimes Unit and agents with the Department of Homeland Security were conducting a surveillance operation and saw Ricky Price, a known offender, drive a Ford Mustang on Dave Lyle Boulevard. Ricky Price made an illegal turn and unlawfully changed lanes, which led to a traffic stop at the gas station on Willowbrook Avenue, police stated in a news release.
Price was talking with his brother on a cellphone in the car at the time of the stop, police said.
A K-9 unit was called to the scene to investigate the car for narcotics, because of past encounters police have had with Ricky Price, Rock Hill police said.
Officers found a 9 mm pistol and two bags of pot in the Mustang. Police later found a Crown Royal bag containing crack cocaine where he sat, police said.
Officers started to search Ricky Price when his brother, Travis Price, got there and walked up to the scene, police said.

Why is it these protests are led by big-fat black women with nails like a vultures talons!
Separation is the only solution.
Look to me like Hogg Waller Boulevard.
It’s not....they get $$$$ and attention for protesting.
Target rich environment.
They don’t have lives or jobs. They live off Whitey’s nickel.
Like tossing breadcrumbs to the birds.
Didn-do-nuffin
Bingo
What part of get a job do these people not get?
Yeah, I get it. Black Street.
Despite all the stuff found in their car, the bros were turning their life around, thinking of enrolling in community college, were aspiring rap artists, loved their grandma...
So,in short order we’ve gone from black people, rioting and burning and assaulting and destroying whenever a black person gets shot, Rega r dress of what the facts are, to now black people rioting and burning and assaulting and destroying whenever black person is simply arrested regardless of what the facts are
Black people, who are aided and abetted by the left, are sending a clear message that black people, can do whatever they want, and if anyone tried to stop them, there will be all hell to pay. They feel now as though they are above the law simp,y because a use of the color of their skin
(And by ‘black folks’ I’m only talking about the usual lawless self entitled crowds that riot at the drop of the hat, I am not painting all black folks in the same light as as those crowds that feel they are above the law- those folks are criminals and criminal apologists, who are violently forcing their will on society with the help of the left who are engaged in a hostile violent takeover of this country. Not all folks are lawless, regardless of skin color. The few are ruining it for the many)
“Officers agreed, but when they took off Ricky Price’s cuff”
How did that work out for them?
Workouts wojld, would, just make them hungrier and hangrier
What I wanna know is what the officers agreed to that they then decided to take the cuffs off someone who had illegal drugs I. Their car? Teo women were just arrested for doing nothing g but protesting critical race theory being taught in scgool. Cops didn’t ‘agree with them and release them fro cuffs’
Justice is NOT being applied equally any longer
Nowadays, cops need to remove the cuffs so when the criminal dies of a drug overdose heart attack they have a better chance of not being convicted of murder.
“Officers found a Crown Royal bag containing crack cocaine where he was seated.”
I must wonder how many young black lives where ruin by this Drug Dealer’s Crack Cocaine.
Police are not the problem for black communities across America, it is the acceptance of Drug Dealers as good normal people that is the real problem.
“When is this crap going to end?”
When America becomes like South Africa.
Defiant woman demanding police be brought to justice for arresting someone.....
A downtrodden woman who obviously can’t even afford enough to eat. I wonder if she sleeps at the curb in an appliance box. This is all so sad, this systemic white racism. We have to totally defund all the police and divert the money to cash reparations before women like her starve./S
Protest photo....
Imagine. All of these people took an unpaid day off from their full time job to show solidarity with a fallen person of color at the hands of the police. Sacrifice.
Protesters in the streets....
“How are you going to apply for a job today dressed like that?”
