The results of a straw poll of conservative voters this weekend is spotlighting the appeal of Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida. DeSantis came out on top of a 2024 straw poll at the Western Conservative Summit, narrowly edging former President Donald Trump, according to organizers of the conference.

Abbott of TX is looking very good to me as well.
Trump will be out of contention within the next year, over his pushing the experimental synthetic Messenger RNA jab at “warp speed.”
DeSantis will be the nominee.
By 2022, pushing “the jab” will be seen as a terrible, terrible mistake, especially for young adults and children.

DeSantis would not defeat Trump, but I would be thrilled with either or both as nominees. DeSantis would probably select a loyal, patriotic cabinet, something our great President 45 failed to do.

I'm almost inclined to say Pompeo and Santis for VP.
First, he pushed HCQ, Zinc and another vitamin, but got lambasted. Then his “Op Warp Speed” brought untested ‘vaccines’, some of which are causing problem. I’ve had 2 Pfizer shots (71 and 5 comorbidities) and I’m doing fine. The socialists/commies/leftists will use all Warp Speed deaths against him.
DeSantis and Paul both top my list for 2024. I’d prefer to see Trump as kingmaker and party boss for the next few elections.
He definitely got some very bad advice on cabinet and personnel selections.
DeSantis should run for President. If Trump runs again, he might lose. DeSantis would be a “someone fresh” so the Left wouldn’t be able to attack him like they’re able to with Trump.

You can bet they’re busy digging-up dirt on him already. What they find, or manufacture, is a whole ‘nother matter.
Trump shouldn’t isolate DeSantis, like he rightfully did with Bush and Rubio etc.

Do you really believe that? They will demonize anyone and their media whores will make up false stories by the dozens. How much more can they say about President Trump? They have already played their hand attacking him.

I have followed hundreds who’ve had it. Minimal side effects. It’s not for all and that’s ok.
I saw Bill Mitchell claim that DeSantis doesn’t tweet, so he would do better than Trump with suburban women. People buy the media’s claims.
The problem with these straw polls is that the top candidates seldom are in it by the time the actual election cycle starts.
Also, running too early gives the opposition Dem/media more time to find ways to destroy the Republican front runners.
But, it keeps the media busy as they push their own agenda.
Exactly right. Have people forgot about 2012 already and how they demonized a pompous twit like Mitt Romney who would push an “Obama Lite” agenda?
